adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Dina has found her home! Her story: Dina, a dark beauty in elegant black, finally wants to arrive. The young, delicate female puppy is incredibly beautiful – she shines with her black, silky fur, her white paws, and her curious button eyes that ask: “Do you play with me?” In early November, Dina was allowed to come to Germany, everything was supposed to be good. But life often runs differently than planned – due to the current living situation of her family, this pretty young female dog now finds herself unmeritedly in search of a loving new home. Dina has already made great progress in this short time. She is already house-trained, sleeps through the night reliably, and learns incredibly fast. She is a very loving, cuddly, and sensitive female dog who bonds closely with her people. In the house, the young female dog is clingy and enjoys the closeness of her people. Whoever opens her heart receives a loyal soul that is eager to learn, to trust, and to adapt affectionately. However, Dina still becomes overwhelmed by too many children. She also still feels uncomfortable with the cat in the household. Dina loves to lie in the garden, discover new things, and go for walks together. Outside her familiar surroundings, she is still a bit unsure, and she currently reacts anxiously to dog encounters. We very much hope that Dina can be allowed to be herself in her new family, loved, nurtured, and treated with respect – loving people who will give her security with patience, clear structures, and a quiet environment so she can build trust. An ideal home would be in a quiet, rural setting. Dina can be adopted at any time. She is microchipped, vaccinated, and brings her EU pet passport. Have you already fallen in love with this pretty, young female dog? Dina eagerly awaits the chance to become part of a loving family. We thank Christine D. for giving Dina her beautiful name and thus her own identity. Status: 04.12.

Stand: 04.12.2025

About Dina

What life with Dina looks like

Dina is a large puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Dina, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Dina?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Dina on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Dina if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Dina already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Dina isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Dina and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
