Adopt Dino

Mixed Breed · Male

I HAVE THREE LEGS AND SEPARATION ANXIETY! DOES THAT MAKE ME WORSE? Dino is a very sensitive, gentle dog who shows with his whole being how much he needs closeness and a sense of security. With other dogs, Dino has no aggression at all. On walks, he passes them with interest, but without the need to interact. He is rather reserved, non-intrusive, and if someone is too pushy, he simply walks away. With known dogs, he can play, but usually stays on the sidelines. Cats are also okay for him! Veterinary treatments and grooming are well tolerated, without screaming and calmly, especially when he can focus on eating. He takes medication without problems, car rides are not stressful for him, although due to the missing leg he needs help getting in. He approaches strangers with reserve, regardless of age or gender. When he doesn't know someone, his fear and uncertainty are visible. However, a person he trusts becomes his whole world. Dino loves to be close to the caregiver, cuddles, and seeks support. Then he is calm, obedient, and very affectionate. He is getting better on walks, although cars or tractors can still overwhelm him. Dino really hates the shelter. Noise, chaos, and an excess of stimuli are overwhelming for him. Walks are the only moments when he really relaxes, calms down, and can just be himself, a calm, person-obsessed, loved dog. He has separation anxiety and a great need for closeness, so we are looking for a quiet, patient, permanent home that will give him time, space, and heart. — PROFILE — 🧮 Age: 02/2020 🚻 Gender: male 🐾 Size: about 18 kilograms 🏀 Activity: moderate ❤️ Neutered: yes ℹ️ Microchip: yes 💉 Vaccinations: yes 📍 Location: Shelter near Płońsk CONTACT IN THE ADOPTION CENTER 730-116-503 The phone is answered from Monday to Friday between 10-19, weekends between 12-16. MAM TRZY ŁAPY I LĘK SEPARACYJNY! About Dino

What life with Dino looks like

Dino is a adult mixed breed dog waiting at Fundacja Judyta dla Psiego Losu in Poland.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Dino, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Dino?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Fundacja Judyta dla Psiego Losu handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Dino on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Dino if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Fundacja Judyta dla Psiego Losu will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Dino already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Dino isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Fundacja Judyta dla Psiego Losu early rather than rehoming privately; they know Dino and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
