17-06-26 Please meet Diva. She has come into our care from a breeder and is now looking for the loving forever home she truly deserves. Diva is a gentle, sweet girl who is a little worried to find herself here but is settling in well. New people and unfamiliar surroundings can make her feel worried at first, but if you give her a little time and patience, she quickly warms up. Once she trusts you, Diva's affectionate personality starts to shine through. She loves a gentle fuss and enjoys a cuddle. She will be looking for a calm, patient home where she will be given all the time she needs to settle at her own pace. She relies on other dogs for reassurance, so she will need another kind and confident resident dog in her new home to help guide her. Diva has never lived in a home before, so everything will be new to her. Her adopters will need to understand that she will need help learning all about home life, including new skills like house training. With kindness, consistency and plenty of reassurance, we are sure she will continue to grow in confidence. She is currently learning to walk on a lead and harness, but this is very new to her at the moment. Diva could live with sensible, dog-savvy older teenagers aged 16 years and over who understand that she will need space, patience and a gentle approach while she settles into her new life.
