Support and Health Do I have any medical conditions? None Who I can live with Can I live with dogs? Yes Can I live with cats? Yes Can I live with small pets? Yes Additional information Like other small pets, they should be kept safely away from other animals in the home. As prey animals, they may feel threatened by the presence of other species such as cats and dogs. Family and environment What kind of family am I looking for? Some rabbits can really enjoy the companionship of humans and become very affectionate, other rabbits are more independent and prefer to keep to themselves with a nice routine. A family who can provide a safe environment with gentle and calm interactions can create beautiful bonds with their rabbits, helping them feel safe. Being a prey species and not enjoying being handled, they are often suited to families with older children. Evie and Dobby can take some time to settle into a environment. However, they will show more of an interest in people once you have gained their trust. They are quiet independent and happier in each others company rather than humans. What type of environment would suit me? Rabbits require lots of space to keep them fit, healthy and happy. The minimum space for a pair of rabbits is an area measuring 3m long x 2m wide x 1m high. This can be achieved using a predator proof run or aviary. In addition, they will need access to a sheltered area of at least 6 x 2 ft, such as a hutch, shed or Wendy house, which should be securely attached to or placed within the run. Rabbits will need to have 24-hour access to both the run and shelter. Discover the perfect care tips for rabbits in our care guide: About Dobby and Evie Meet Evie and Dobby! They are deeply bonded and looking for their furever home! Evie is the more inquisitive of the two and since settling in with us, she has shown a more curious side. Whilst cleaning she will tend to keep herself out of the way. However, when socialising, Evie will hop onto your lap, giving your clothes a thorough inspection with her nose… most likely looking for treats! Dobby is a typical gentlebun who will approach you for snacks and fuss but is most settled when with Evie. This delightful duo are looking a home filled with love and owners who can be patient and help build their confidence in their new setting. If you have space in your home to share with Evie and Dobby, please do register your interest.

About Dobby and Evie

What life with Dobby and Evie looks like

Dobby and Evie is a small adult rabbit waiting at Woodgreen Pets Charity in United Kingdom.

Rabbits are social animals — most shelters recommend adopting them in bonded pairs rather than alone. They need fresh hay daily, several hours of out-of-cage time, and rabbit-safe spaces to explore. They live eight to twelve years, longer than many people expect.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Dobby and Evie, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Dobby and Evie?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Woodgreen Pets Charity handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Dobby and Evie on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Dobby and Evie if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Woodgreen Pets Charity will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Dobby and Evie already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most rabbits on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Dobby and Evie isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Woodgreen Pets Charity early rather than rehoming privately; they know Dobby and Evie and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
