Hometown: Hungary Dojo, the beautiful and wonderful dog, arrived as a found dog at the animal shelter on October 4, 2023. He was alone on the streets of Orgovány, a neighboring community of Kecskemét. During the microchip check, no one was found, and no one reported him missing. Although the origin of his name is unclear to us, Dojo received it at the shelter, giving him a chance at a life with people who will love, value, and show him the sunny sides of life. Dojo is a friendly, affectionate, kind, and contact-seeking fellow who adapted well to his new situation. He is happy when given time and attention and delights in every pat and affection. Dojo is at the perfect age and desires mental and physical stimulation and support. However, at the beginning, he also needs to learn and solidify the basics of dog training, and walking on a leash is already going well. Dojo is a clever fellow, and it will surely be fun to work and train with him. He would certainly make a wonderful companion for jogging, cycling, hiking, or other activities, as long as both human and dog have fun and a good time together. Dojo gets along well with his fellow animals and lives in a mixed pack. For our wonderful Dojo, we are searching for an adventurous and dog-loving home with people who enjoy being outdoors, value the company of a four-legged friend, treat Dojo dog-appropriately, spoil him with love, security, and care, and offer him a 100% family connection. On December 5, 2023, a volunteer wrote: "We know Dojo from the weekly mentor days. We met him at the playground of the animal shelter. A friendly and kind, big four-legged friend. He loves adults and also gets along well with children. He enjoys being near people, looks forward to attention, and enjoys cuddles. He desires mental and physical stimulation and seeks adventurous and active two-legged companions. He currently lives with a male dog in a pen and could also be rehomed as a second dog. Walking on a leash is familiar to him, but it is certainly still developable. Dojo is waiting for his new people who will go through thick and thin with him and who he can be a faithful companion to." On December 7, 2023, a volunteer wrote: Dojo arrived at the animal shelter in October 2023 and has been there for two years. Dojo came in at a young age and had to wait a large part of his life in a pen without his own home, which is very hard for him. We got to know Dojo at the animal shelter's playground, and his mentors took him on walks as well. On the playground, Dojo was very people-oriented, kind, and friendly. He loves people and was also kind and gentle with older children. He is very affectionate, sought cuddles, and patiently waited to be spoiled. Dojo is gentle and attentive in dealing with people. His greatest wish is to receive affection and spend time together. He will be a faithful companion and true friend for the person who decides to take him in. Dojo also knows how to go for walks. He walked beautifully on a leash, started actively and with great enthusiasm with his mentor. He loved to sniff, took in the many new impressions, scents, and sights. Dojo would love to go for a walk every day with his new person. On December 14, 2025, a volunteer, a Hungarian helper, wrote: "Dojo has been a resident of the animal shelter for two years. Our hearts leaped when Dojo was brought to the mentor's playground. He is a wonderful, affectionate, heartwarming, friendly, and beautiful dog. First, he carefully sniffed everything at the playground. Then we quickly became friends. Dojo seeks cuddles, affection, and attention. With his movements, he invited us to play and asked for belly rubs at the same time. He is curious, interested, and ready to make new experiences. Together, we observed the happenings outside the playground; to the other dogs, he was friendly and merely observed. We also took Dojo on walks. He knows the leash and started actively and with great enthusiasm because many new scents, impressions, and sights awaited him. After the walk, we reluctantly said goodbye. It is hard for him to wait in the pen. Dojo is still young, intelligent, attentive, and affectionate. He has a large need for movement. He lived with a dog buddy in a pen and can also adapt to an already existing dog." Who can be Dojo's lifelong friend? Dojo is travel-ready.

Herkunftsland: Ungarn Der wunderschöne Dojo kam am 4.10.2023 als Fundhund ins Tierheim. Er war alleine auf den Strassen von Orgovány unterwegs, einer Nachbargemeinde von Kecskemét. Bei der Chipkontrolle wurde man nicht fündig, und niemand hat diesen tollen Hund als vermisst gemeldet. Wie immer unverständlich für uns, aber so bekommt Dojo, diesen Namen hat er im Menhely erhalten, eine Chance auf ein Leben bei Menschen, die ihn lieben, schätzen und ihm die Sonnenseiten des Lebens zeigen. Dojo ist ein freundlicher, lieber, netter und kontaktfreudiger Kerl, der sich zum Glück recht gut in seine neue Lebenssituation eingefügt hat. Er ist glücklich, wenn man ihm etwas Zeit und Aufmerksamkeit schenkt, und freut sich über jede Streicheleinheit und Zuneigung. Dojo ist im besten Alter und möchte geistig wie körperlich gefordert und gefördert werden. Zu Beginn gilt aber auch bei ihm: das Hundeeinmaleins lernen und festigen, das Laufen an der Leine klappt schon ganz gut. Dojo ist ein schlauer Bursche, und es wird bestimmt viel Spass machen, mit ihm zu arbeiten und zu trainieren. Er wäre sicher auch ein wunderbarer Begleiter beim Joggen, Fahrradfahren, Wandern oder anderen Aktivitäten, Hauptsache, Mensch und Hund haben Spass und eine gute Zeit zusammen. Mit seinen Artgenossen kommt Dojo gut klar und lebt in einem gemischten Rudel. Für unseren wundervollen Dojo suchen wir ein unternehmungslustiges und hundebegeistertes Zuhause bei Menschen, die gerne und viel in der Natur unterwegs sind, die die Gesellschaft eines Vierbeiners schätzen, Dojo hundegerecht auslasten, ihn mit viel Liebe, Geborgenheit und Fürsorge verwöhnen und ihm 100 % Familienanschluss bieten. Wem darf Dojo ein Freund fürs Leben sein? Update vom 20.07.2026: Wir kennen Dojo von den wöchentlichen Mentortagen. Auf dem Spielplatz zeigt er sich menschenbezogen, herzig und freundlich: Er liebt Menschen, ist auch zu älteren Kindern lieb und sanft und stellt sich geduldig an, um Streicheleinheiten und Zuwendung zu bekommen. Mit seinen Bewegungen lädt er zum Spielen ein und bittet zugleich um Bauchstreicheln. Er ist neugierig, aufmerksam und offen für neue Erfahrungen, zu anderen Hunden verhält er sich freundlich und beobachtet sie in Ruhe. Auf Spaziergängen startet er aktiv und voller Begeisterung, läuft schön an der Leine, schnuppert ausgiebig und nimmt die vielen neuen Eindrücke auf. Dojo lebt seit Oktober 2023 im Tierheim, und das lange Warten im Zwinger fällt ihm sichtlich schwer, nach dem Spaziergang mag er kaum zurück. Er hat immer mit einem Hundekumpel zusammengelebt und kann auch an einen bereits vorhandenen Hund gewöhnt werden. Für diesen klugen und liebesbedürftigen Rüden wünschen wir uns endlich Menschen, die ihn jeden Tag hinaus in die Welt nehmen. Dojo ist reisefertig.
