Hi, I'm Dozer, a handsome boy of 9 years. Yes, you're thinking right… Dozer, as in bulldozer. And honestly? That does fit me a little bit. With my 54 kilos, sometimes I forget how big I actually am. I'm just incredibly curious and before I know it, I bulldoze myself a little bit through you to see what you're doing. My curiosity comes from somewhere. Before I came to our shelter, I didn't see much of the world. I came out very little and often found myself locked up. That's why many things are still new to me. Sometimes I find those things pretty exciting… but my curiosity almost always wins! For example, I've never really learned how stairs work or an elevator? No idea! But with sweet words, patience, and something yummy, I'm gradually getting braver. So I'm really still on an exploration trip, and how nice is it if you want to help me with that? Playing is a little bit crazy too. A ball or a mop? I jump like a rabbit, or yes, a mega enthusiastic rabbit, but what I'm supposed to do with it afterwards… well, that's still a question mark. But hey, I have fun doing it, and isn't that the most important thing? Besides, I'm mainly a very sweet, big lap dog (yes, really, I think so myself). I love coming to you for hugs and coziness. If you give me the time and space to learn about the world, you'll get a loyal, soft, and a bit clumsy best friend in return.

Hoi, ik ben Dozer, een knappe man van 9 jaar. Ja, je denkt het goed… Dozer, zoals in bulldozer. En eerlijk? Dat klopt ook wel een beetje. Met mijn 54 kilo vergeet ik soms hoe groot ik eigenlijk ben. Ik ben namelijk ontzettend nieuwsgierig en voor ik het weet bulldozer ik mezelf een beetje door je heen om te kijken wat je aan het doen bent. Mijn nieuwsgierigheid komt ergens vandaan. Voordat ik bij DOA kwam, zag ik namelijk niet zoveel van de wereld. Ik kwam weinig buiten en zat vaak opgesloten. Daardoor zijn veel dingen nog nieuw voor mij. Soms vind ik die ook best spannend… maar mijn nieuwsgierigheid wint het gelukkig bijna altijd! Zo heb ik bijvoorbeeld nog nooit echt geleerd hoe trappen werken en een lift? Geen idee! Maar met lieve woordjes, geduld en iets lekkers durf ik steeds meer. Ik ben dus echt nog op ontdekkingstocht, en hoe fijn is het als jij me daarbij wil helpen? Spelen vind ik ook nog een beetje gek. Een bal of flostouw? Ik spring er als een konijn, of ja mega konijn enthousiast achteraan maar wat ik er daarna precies mee moet doen… tja, dat is nog een vraagteken. Maar hé, ik heb er wel plezier in, en dat is toch het belangrijkste? Verder ben ik vooral een hele lieve, grote schoothond (ja echt, ik vind zelf van wel). Ik kom graag bij je voor knuffels en gezelligheid. Als je mij de tijd en ruimte geeft om de wereld te leren kennen, krijg je er een trouwe, zachtaardige en een tikkeltje onhandige beste vriend voor terug.
