Dupy once had an owner, but unfortunately it soon became clear that they did not want to properly care for him. One evening, rescuer Timea received a call asking if she could take in Dupy. Since space needed to be made available in the shelter, it was agreed to contact again the next day. Unfortunately, the phone was never answered again and Dupy was simply left on the street. Fortunately, Timea was able to find him again. Now, Dupy is safely staying in the shelter and we hope to find him a loving home where he can finally experience real attention and stability. At first, he was a bit shy, which is naturally understandable after everything he has been through. However, he quickly warmed up and showed how incredibly friendly and affectionate he is. Dupy really enjoys attention, cuddles and pleasant contact with people. In addition, he gets along well with the other dogs in the shelter. Furthermore, he has a nice, slightly coarse coat that gives him an extra charming appearance. Dupy is about 45 cm tall at the shoulder and weighs around 15 kg, making him a nice medium-sized dog. Update April 2026: In April 2026, our volunteers went to Romania, where they personally met Dupy. Looking back at July 2024 (see photos below), Dupy has undergone a huge transformation. His coat has beautifully regrown and now has a nice light white color with brown-beige spots. Additionally, he is also a wonderful dog to be out and about with. He is cheerful, makes contact easily and quickly gets used to volunteers who take him for a walk. Moreover, Dupy has a nice, pleasant energy and looks curiously at the world around him. In short, Dupy is a lovely dog ready for a new beginning. This time with people who will never leave him behind again. 💛 Will you give him his new beginning? Dupy had ooit een eigenaar, maar helaas bleek al snel dat hij niet serieus voor hem wilde zorgen. Op een avond kreeg rescuer Timea een telefoontje met de vraag of zij Dupy kon opvangen. Omdat er eerst plek vrijgemaakt moest worden in de shelter, werd afgesproken om de volgende dag opnieuw contact te hebben. Helaas werd de telefoon daarna niet meer opgenomen en bleek Dupy simpelweg op straat te zijn gezet. Gelukkig wist Timea hem terug te vinden. Inmiddels verblijft Dupy veilig in de shelter en hopen wij een liefdevol thuis voor hem te vinden, waar hij eindelijk mag ervaren wat echte aandacht en stabiliteit zijn. In het begin was hij een beetje verlegen, wat natuurlijk niet vreemd is na alles wat hij heeft meegemaakt. Toch ontdooide hij al snel en liet hij zien hoe ontzettend vriendelijk en aanhankelijk hij is. Dupy geniet enorm van aandacht, knuffels en gezellig contact met mensen. Daarnaast kan hij het ook goed vinden met de andere honden in de shelter. Verder heeft hij een leuke, licht ruwharige vacht die hem een extra charmante uitstraling geeft. Dupy is ongeveer 45 cm hoog op de schouder en weegt rond de 15 kilo, waardoor hij een mooi middelgroot formaat heeft. Update april 2026: In april 2026 gingen onze vrijwilligers naar Roemenië, waar zij Dupy persoonlijk hebben leren kennen. Als we terug kijken op juli 2024 (zie foto's hieronder) dan heeft Dupy heeft een enorme transformatie ondergaan. Zijn vacht is prachtig terug gegroeid en heeft nu een mooie licht witte kleur met bruin-beige vlekken. Daarnaast is hij ook nog eens een ontzettend leuke hond om mee op pad te zijn. Hij is vrolijk, maakt gemakkelijk contact en went snel aan vrijwilligers die hem meenemen voor een wandeling. Bovendien heeft Dupy een fijne, prettige energie en kijkt hij nieuwsgierig naar de wereld om zich heen. Kortom, Dupy is een lieve hond die klaar is voor een nieuw begin.
