Felix is a special cat that we hope to find a loving home for through direct placement. He is a male cat, born in October 2015. Felix was hit by a car at a young age, breaking his back. However, he has fully recovered. He walks around as if nothing ever happened. The only thing he has left over from the accident are his wide pupils and a lack of side vision. He also swishes his tail whenever he walks, not out of fear or stress, but as a trauma from the accident. This is not a problem, but he must definitely be placed in a quiet environment without small children, for example. Due to his lack of side vision, he is startled by sudden movements from behind and can lash out in fear. This has only happened four times in all these years. As an adult, you can take this into account, but with small children, it is less possible. He currently lives with his elderly caregiver who has always surrounded Felix with love, but she will soon be unable to care for Felix due to admission to a residential care center, which brings a lot of sadness and worries. She wants the best for her dear cat, but with his "small defects", he does not fit everywhere, of course. With dogs, it is absolutely not possible. No matter how sweet the dog is, it attacks. Other cats would work from his side if the species learn to understand each other's language, because of course, a cat with wide open eyes and a wagging tail is threatening behavior for another cat. His caregiver describes Felix further as a quiet senior who sometimes still has the whims of a kitten. Felix is een bijzonder poesje dat we hopen een liefdevolle thuis te kunnen schenken via rechtstreekse plaatsing. Hij is een katertje, geboren in oktober 2015. Felix is op jonge leeftijd aangereden geweest waarbij hij zijn rug brak. Daar is hij echter volledig van hersteld. Hij stapt rond alsof er nooit iets is gebeurd. Het enige wat hij eraan heeft overgehouden zijn wijde pupillen en een gebrek aan zijzicht. Ook zwiept hij steeds met zijn staart als hij loopt, niet uit angst of stress dus maar als trauma van het ongeval. Op zich allemaal geen probleem maar hij moet zeker in een rustige omgeving terecht komen zonder kleine kindjes bijvoorbeeld. Door het gebrek aan zijzicht schrikt hij immers als er een plotse beweging van achteren komt en kan dan van het schrikken uithalen. Dit is echter in al die jaren slechts vier keer voorgevallen. Als volwassene kan je hier perfect rekening mee houden maar bij kleine kindjes lukt dat al wat minder. Hij leeft momenteel nog bij zijn verzorgster op leeftijd die Felix altijd met veel liefde heeft omringd maar door opname in een woonzorgcentrum kan ze weldra helaas niet meer voor Felix zorgen en dat brengt heel veel verdriet en zorgen. Ze wil het allerbeste voor haar lieve poes maar door zijn “kleine mankementjes” past hij niet overal natuurlijk. Met honden lukt het absoluut niet. Hoe lief de hond ook is, hij valt aan. Andere poezen zou wel lukken van zijn kant als de soortgenoten zijn taal leren begrijpen want natuurlijk is een kat met wijd open gesperde ogen en kwispelende staart voor een andere kat bedreigend gedrag. Zijn verzorgster omschrijft felix verder als een rustige senior die soms nog de kuren heeft van een kitten. Dan speelt hij erop los met zijn knuffels om daarna zich uitgebreid te wassen en vervolgens in het zonnetje achter het raam in slaap te vallen. Eten doet hij ook goed en graag. Felix leeft uitsluitend binnen en is daar heel blij mee. Wie Felix denkt te kunnen helpen aan zijn liefdevolle thuis om zijn zorgeloos leventje verder te zetten, mag ons een mail sturen aan .
