Important: when you email our branch, you should receive an instant auto reply which acknowledges receipt of your email. If you don’t receive the auto reply, please check your junk or spam folders for our emails. These two lovable, friendly house cats (see multi-image page for pictures of them both) were signed over to us for rehoming. They are brothers who have been together all their lives and have always been permanent house cats. They spent quite a while enclosed in one room, so they are now really enjoying having more space to move around and explore. Their original owner said they would sometimes venture into the backyard for a very quick inspection, but they soon came back into the house. We know it’s a bigger ask to find someone who’s willing to adopt two cats together, but we hope we can find that special home for them. They are currently in foster care but really need their own forever home. Please see below for their foster carers’ comments: ‘These boys really are the most loving cats. They love cuddles and affection. They are very talkative too, both with me and each other. They're very bonded; always sleep together and play together too. They're also very funny and have different playing styles. Fin adores the laser pointer and running around chasing something, whereas Leo would rather catch a dangling toy from his spot! Fin's favourite place is your lap, whereas Leo loves to be next to you. They will definitely need a home where owners will interact with them and make time for plenty of cuddles. They are also very clean and use their litter trays without any issues. These lovely boys really deserve their own special place in someone’s life.’

About FIN & LEO (HOUSE CATS)

What life with FIN & LEO (HOUSE CATS) looks like

FIN & LEO (HOUSE CATS) is a adult mixed breed cat cat waiting at RSPCA Craven and Upper Wharfedale Branch in United Kingdom.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting FIN & LEO (HOUSE CATS), answered.

How do I contact the shelter about FIN & LEO (HOUSE CATS)?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. RSPCA Craven and Upper Wharfedale Branch handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw FIN & LEO (HOUSE CATS) on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt FIN & LEO (HOUSE CATS) if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — RSPCA Craven and Upper Wharfedale Branch will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is FIN & LEO (HOUSE CATS) already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if FIN & LEO (HOUSE CATS) isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with RSPCA Craven and Upper Wharfedale Branch early rather than rehoming privately; they know FIN & LEO (HOUSE CATS) and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (the shelter's own language). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
