FLAPI dit POUPETTE

Female · Senior · 12 years

FLAPI, affectionately known as Poupette, is a lovely little Pinscher who is just waiting for a kind person to give her all her heart. At first, Poupette can be very fearful. She needs some time to gain her trust and discover her new environment at her own pace. But once reassured, she reveals herself to be an extremely affectionate, gentle and very kind dog who will never leave her human's side. A real clingy, she loves the presence of her human and seeks a lot of affection. Poupette's strengths: * Very affectionate and close to her adopter. * Gentle and sweet. * Clean. * Compatible with children. * Positive harmony with other dogs. * Travels without difficulty by car or transport. * Can perfectly live in an apartment. * Doesn't need a garden to be happy. Her special needs: Poupette can't stand being alone. After about 3 hours alone, she can bark to express her stress. She is therefore looking for a family that is present or available to offer her enough company and outings. Regarding cats, her behavior is not yet known and will have to be evaluated on a case-by-case basis. The ideal home for Poupette Poupette would be happy with a calm, patient and tender person or family, ready to give her time to gain confidence. She would be particularly suitable for adopters who are present, who want to share many moments with their companion and who want to welcome a little dog very attached to her family. With a little patience and a lot of love, Poupette will become a faithful and affectionate companion who will follow you everywhere. Do you think you can offer Poupette the warm home she deserves? Don't hesitate to contact us by phone at 02/523.44.16 to get more information or come to meet her. She is waiting for her second chance with impatience!

About FLAPI dit POUPETTE

What life with FLAPI dit POUPETTE looks like

FLAPI dit POUPETTE is a senior dog waiting at Help Animals in Brussels.

Senior dogs settle in faster than younger ones. They want a soft bed, predictable meals, and short, sniff-heavy walks rather than runs. Many senior rescues bond deeply within weeks because they understand exactly how good a stable home is. Expect occasional vet visits for joint or dental care.

🇧🇪Adopting from Belgium

Belgian shelters operate under regional law (Flanders, Wallonia, Brussels each have their own rules). All adoptions include the Eurochip, vaccinations, and a stewardship contract. Several Flemish shelters partner with Dutch and German rescue networks.

Frequently asked

Adopting FLAPI dit POUPETTE, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about FLAPI dit POUPETTE?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Help Animals handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw FLAPI dit POUPETTE on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt FLAPI dit POUPETTE if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Help Animals will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is FLAPI dit POUPETTE already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if FLAPI dit POUPETTE isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Help Animals early rather than rehoming privately; they know FLAPI dit POUPETTE and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (FR). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
