Flor

Mixed Breed · Female · Puppy

Flor is a mixed-breed female dog born around September 2024, with a shoulder height of approximately 55 cm and a weight of around 33 kg. Hello, I am Flor! I am the dog with the distinctive stripe on my forehead – almost like my built-in exclamation mark. If you see me, you won't forget me. And if you ever pet me, you won't forget me either. At the moment, I am still living in an animal shelter in Spain. Here, I am very social – both with people and with other dogs. I get along well with everyone and am happy to meet every contact. I love being petted. Then I bury my head really deep in the lap of the people. When volunteer walkers pass by, I am happy to be chosen. This makes me really proud and shows that I behave well and enjoy being on the go. And now for the good news: I have real luck and can travel to a foster home in 86753 Möttingen at the end of June 2026! There, I can arrive in peace, get to know everything, and show how great a dog I am. Just before my travel arrangements, a blood test for Mediterranean diseases will be done to clarify this and ensure I am healthy for my "new life." Of course, I am also vaccinated, microchipped, and already neutered. What I wish for are people who have time for me and want to form a family with me. I look forward to walks, a bit of head work, and lots of love and clear rules. Whether with a garden or without – as long as I can belong! Do you want to get to know me? I will be rehomed after an extensive interview and a positive pre-visit. You can visit me on my foster home in 86753 Möttingen. Flor will be rehomed to: Contact: Linda Carl-Brambach – 6186637 (evening calls) E-Mail:

Was ich mir wünsche? About Flor

What life with Flor looks like

Flor is a large puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Hunde ohne Heimat e.V. in Bedburg.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Flor, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Flor?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Hunde ohne Heimat e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Flor on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Flor if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Hunde ohne Heimat e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Flor already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Flor isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Hunde ohne Heimat e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Flor and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
