Adopt Fluse

adoption requirements adoption process Adopt this animal now! adoption requirements adoption process Fluse has found a home! Her story: 57078 Siegen. Due to illness, Fluse lost her home and is now urgently searching for a new family! Fluse originally came from Baia Mare in Romania and could still travel as a puppy in March 2022. Fluse was now taken in by a foster home and cannot stay there for much longer. One gets the feeling that the approximately 2.5-year-old female dog has not yet had much experience, even though she has been in Germany for about 2 years. She stands shyly on the meadow and is barely able to take a step. The only dog in the foster family helps Fluse a lot; she is very oriented towards him and they made great strides into life in the first few days. Therefore, a dog in her future home is very important. With a shoulder height of about 40 cm, she has a small to medium size. On the leash, she walks nicely by the person, but the environment is still not fully recognized. With her new doggy friend, she can already stay alone for a while, waits politely, and is happy when someone is back. She has also quickly understood the Leckerli ritual with two. She is a clever girl and understands quickly. She is developing well and makes steady progress. Fluse is looking for a home in rural surroundings. We do not yet know how she reacts to children or cats. In any case, she needs people who do not ask too much of her and who have empathy, to take her by the paw and explore the world with her. Fluse could be a Border Collie mixed breed and bring along some herding dog genes. Our Fluse is not neutered. She is microchipped and has an EU pet passport. After a positive response, she can be visited in advance. Who falls in love with the cute Fluse and gives her a home for life? Many thanks! Sandra S.! Thanks to you, Fluse has received her beautiful name!

Vielen Dank! Sandra S.! Dank dir hat Fluse ihren schönen Namen erhalten!

About Fluse

What life with Fluse looks like

Fluse is a medium-sized adult mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Fluse, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Fluse?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Fluse on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Fluse if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Fluse already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Fluse isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Fluse and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
