Frank

Male Β· Adult Β· 8 years

This handsome lad is Frank! This boy has lots of love to give and adores spending time with his favourite humans. He is a prize winning biscuit maker and will make his biscuits on his bed while enjoying a head and chin rub. He loves a game with his string toy and will shoot down from his bed to chase and pounce on it before he flops on his side and asks for more strokes. Frank is a social bean and should be fine to live with a sensible school aged child who will spend lots of time giving him the love he deserves. He should be fine to be settled into a quiet corner with all his resources close by and plenty of places to hide in case he gets scared. Frank will need a permanent litter tray kept down in a quiet and private area of the home. Once settled, Frank will need some outside space to explore. About Frank

What life with Frank looks like

Frank is an adult cat waiting at Battersea Dogs & Cats Home in London.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction β€” every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Frank, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Frank?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Battersea Dogs & Cats Home handles screening and the adoption contract directly β€” TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Frank on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Frank if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad β€” Battersea Dogs & Cats Home will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Frank already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported β€” ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Frank isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work β€” that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Battersea Dogs & Cats Home early rather than rehoming privately; they know Frank and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect β€” names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
