Franklin has been with us for a long time… He was taken in by an intervention. He spent his whole life on a leash. He had a terrible, tight collar around his neck that dug into his skin, hurt, and caused pain every day. He didn't know anything else. He didn't know walks. He didn't know kindness. He didn't know humans as friends… He was afraid. He cowered. He didn't know what to expect. And although he is safe now — this fear is still inside him. But… Franklin is making great progress. He is learning to walk on a leash — carefully, at his own pace, but each day more confidently. He is still distrustful of strangers — prefers to hide and check from a distance if it's safe. He feels more comfortable in the company of female dog than males. This is an extremely cute and beautiful dog, but above all — very sensitive. He needs time, patience, and a heart that will show him that the world can be a good place. We dream of a special home for Franklin… A calm one, full of love and understanding. One that won't ask anything from him — just let him be himself and slowly trust. Home… will you give him a chance? Will you show him a life he never had?
