Frida

Mixed Breed Cat · Female · Young · 2 years

This is the lovely Frida, a 1-2 year old girl who has already proved what an amazing mum she is. She has done a fantastic job raising three poorly and very mischievous kittens, giving them all the care, patience and attention they needed to grow stronger. And despite all their antics, Frida hasn’t got fed up with them once! She has been an incredibly dedicated mum - even though most mums are more than ready for a break by now. Frida is a nervous girl and, for now, she is very much a hands-off cat. She finds human interaction a little daunting, but she is starting to show us that she is willing to trust us at her own pace. She has recently begun taking Lick-e-Lix from a spoon, which might seem like a small thing, but for Frida it is a really positive step forward. We know that with a girl like Frida, slow and steady wins the race. She doesn’t need to be rushed or overwhelmed - she just needs someone who is willing to give her the time, patience and space she deserves. Frida is looking for a quiet, understanding home where her new family can continue building her confidence and let her discover that people can be kind and trustworthy. We’re sure that, in time, there is a sweet and loving little cat hiding behind that nervous exterior. Frida may not be ready to jump into your lap just yet, but she is taking those first little steps towards trusting us - and we can’t wait to see where they take her. If you think you could provide her with the time and patience she deserves, please follow the link below to fill in our online application form below.

About Frida

What life with Frida looks like

Frida is a small young adult mixed breed cat cat waiting at RSPCA Worcester & Mid-Worcestershire Branch in United Kingdom.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Frida, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Frida?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. RSPCA Worcester & Mid-Worcestershire Branch handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Frida on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Frida if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — RSPCA Worcester & Mid-Worcestershire Branch will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Frida already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Frida isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with RSPCA Worcester & Mid-Worcestershire Branch early rather than rehoming privately; they know Frida and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
