Information: In June and October 2025, some of our team members visited Elisa's animal shelter in Romania, with which we work closely. They met many puppies and some adult dogs, by sitting in the kennel with them, playing, cuddling, and walking with them. Only the dogs we expect to be happy in the Netherlands - and their adopters with the dog - are placed by us. Frodo and his brothers and sisters definitely belong there! Frodo was found with his brothers and sisters. This group of puppies we have renamed the "sack puppies", because they were dumped in a bag... 😓 Fortunately, they were found by Elisa and are getting a chance at a better life. June: All these puppies are still very social and open, like typical puppies. For this kind of puppy, we hope to find a safe place in the Netherlands quickly, so they don't lose their innocence. Frodo is a brave, humorous guy, just like his namesake from Lord of the Rings, who loves going on adventures with the beings he loves. Would you like to go on an adventure with Frodo? Who knows, this little creature might change the course of your future! January 2026: Our team members were again for a week at Elisa's animal shelter and also met Frodo again. It is clear that his time at the animal shelter hasn't left him cold. When other dogs are around that he can look up to, he does reasonably well, but when you walk alone with him, he is much less brave. New and unknown situations seem very exciting to him. This is clearly visible in the video "Brave Frodo, walking past big machines". Still, you can also see that with some time and patience, he can be helped through it. Overall, Frodo is an uncertain guy who needs good guidance, but if he gets it, he could take many steps. We expect Frodo to grow into a small to medium-sized dog, or at most a medium-sized dog. He was found without parent dogs, so which breeds are represented in his (previous) parents is unknown. Therefore, the adult size remains an estimate. Further down this page is a video from December; he won't get much bigger than that.

Informatie: In juni en oktober 2025 is een aantal van onze teamleden een week lang op bezoek geweest bij het asiel van Elisa in Roemenië, waarmee we nauw samenwerken. Ze hebben heel veel pups en enkele volwassen hondjes leren kennen, door bij ze in de kennel te zitten, te spelen, te knuffelen en met ze te wandelen. Alleen de honden waarvan we verwachten dat ze gelukkig zullen worden in Nederland - en hun adoptanten met de hond - worden door ons bemiddeld. Frodo en zijn broertjes en zusjes horen daar zeker bij! Frodo is samen met zijn broertjes en zusjes gevonden. Deze groep pups hebben wij omgedoopt tot de “sack pups”, omdat ze gedumpt zijn in een zak... 😓 Gelukkig zijn ze gevonden door Elisa en krijgen ze een kans op een beter leven. Juni: Al deze puppy's zijn nog heel erg sociaal en open, zoals het puppy's betaamd. Voor dit soort puppy's hopen we heel snel een veilige plek in Nederland te vinden, zodat ze hun onbevangenheid niet kwijtraken. Frodo is net als zijn naamgenoot uit Lord of the Rings een dapper, humoristisch kereltje, dat graag op avontuur gaat met de wezens waar hij van houdt. Wil jij samen met Frodo het avontuur aangaan? Nieuwe en onbekende situaties vindt hij erg spannend. Dat is goed te zien op het filmpje "Dappere Frodo, lopend langs grote machines". Toch zie je ook dat hij hier met wat tijd en geduld ook wel doorheen te helpen is. Al met al is Frodo een onzeker ventje dat goeie begeleiding nodig heeft, maar als hij dat krijgt nog vele stappen zou kunnen maken. Na het bezoek in januari is een aantal van onze teamleden in maart 2026 wederom afgereisd naar het asiel van Elisa in Roemenië. Natuurlijk is er ook tijd genomen voor lieve Frodo en is er met hem gewandeld en geknuffeld!
