Gina

Unknown · Kitten · 2 months

Gina was found together with her two sisters, her brother, and their mama. After a short stay at the shelter, they were allowed to go to a foster family, where they could continue growing up. They are still living with this family. Gina is a beautiful dark-cypers girl with a long, wonderfully soft coat. At first she prefers to keep her distance and watch things from a safe spot, but once she feels at ease, she comes out of her shell more and more and goes off exploring. Her favorite toy? A ball that crinkles or rattles! She can keep herself entertained with it for ages. Getting attention still feels quite scary to Gina. Sitting on your lap or being petted takes a little getting used to, although she does allow it. Sometimes you can see her thinking, "Hey, this actually feels pretty nice!" With a bit of patience and love, who knows, she may discover how lovely cuddling can be. Give her time and let her gain trust at her own pace. Fortunately, Gina doesn't have to take on this adventure alone. She may move together with her brave sister Imelda. Imelda can show her that the world isn't as scary as she sometimes thinks. Besides, the sisters often sleep cozily together. A familiar buddy by her side will surely help Gina blossom further. Young children can be a bit unpredictable and may frighten them, so we are looking for a home without young children. Do you have a warm spot for these two sisters and look forward to a cozy duo? Then these girls may be a perfect match for you! Please fill in the contact form below. The sisters were born on 4 August 2026 and are ready to be placed.

About Gina

What life with Gina looks like

Gina is a small kitten cat waiting at Hokazo in Uden.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇳🇱Adopting from Netherlands

Dutch shelters typically require a household assessment and an adoption contract. Animals are routinely sterilized, microchipped, and registered in the national pet database (NDG) before placement.

Frequently asked

Adopting Gina, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Gina?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Hokazo handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Gina on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Gina if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Hokazo will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Gina already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Gina isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Hokazo early rather than rehoming privately; they know Gina and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (NL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
