Goya (AR)

Mixed Breed · Male · Young · 1 year

PS FE, born: 01.08.2025 male dog. At Finca since 10/25 Goya – lively sunshine on four paws Winzy Goya was left to himself and, luckily, was found by loving people. Initially, he came into the shelter of the community of La Oliva. To ensure he didn’t have to stay among the many large dogs, our animal protection colleagues at Finca Esquinzo were informed – and on the same day, the little fellow was allowed to move into safety at the Finca. Goya is a cheerful, quirky little puppy who greets his new world with open paws from morning till night. He almost always has a good mood, brims with life, and finds every moment exciting. If it were up to him, he would likely play, frolic, and experience new adventures 24 hours a day. Even a well-filled food bowl can sometimes be outmatched by the urge to explore. In dealing with people, Goya is friendly, open, and enthusiastic. He loves attention and meets each new day with infectious optimism. His energy and carefree nature make him a wonderful companion for active people who enjoy a lively young pup. For Goya, we wish for a home with an energetic family, preferably with sovereign children. Even an already present, play-enthusiastic dog could bring him much joy – but it is not a prerequisite. Since he sometimes can be a bit stubborn and it still takes him some time to sit still, a visit to a dog school would certainly be a great support for him. Goya is likely to remain a small, active dog – perfect for all who want to explore the world together. The little adventurer is ready to travel from mid-December, microchipped, dewormed, treated with anti-parasitics, fully vaccinated, and tested for "Mediterranean diseases," to his new home. Who will give the cheerful, energy-filled Goya a loving home and show him how wonderful life can be?

About Goya (AR)

What life with Goya (AR) looks like

Goya (AR) is a young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Tierhilfe Fuerteventura in Dransfeld.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Goya (AR), answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Goya (AR)?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierhilfe Fuerteventura handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Goya (AR) on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Goya (AR) if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierhilfe Fuerteventura will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Goya (AR) already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Goya (AR) isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierhilfe Fuerteventura early rather than rehoming privately; they know Goya (AR) and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
