Gray

English Bulldog · Male · Young · 3 years

Gray is a handsome chappy, with a heart of gold! He can be worried initially, so will need patient and understanding owners to let him come around at his own pace. Gray is a boisterous and bouncy boy, who has a lot of energy so would love to explore new places. Gray will prefer his people to be home most of the time initially while he settles in, as he can get a bit upset being left for long hours. Once settled in the home, he should be happy to be left for up to 4 hours. Gray would prefer a quieter home where he can build his confidence slowly and have his own space when he needs it. Gray can get a little worried of overhandling, so would prefer adopters that are willing to listen to his body language and learn when he might need some time to himself. Gray is a gorgeous boy, who has become a firm staff favourite here in the centre. We can't wait for him to find his forever home. Meet gorgeous Gray, a 3-year old Bulldog looking for his forever home! Gray is a sweet boy, who can find the world a bit scary at times. Gray would prefer for all children to be of older secondary school age and over and able to give him some space when he needs it. Once Gray knows you, he's a ball of energy who loves his toys, food and cuddles! Gray finds the paddling pool to be very exciting, and will spend hours splashing about if he could. Gray would prefer to be the only dog in the home, but could have calm doggy friends to walk with out and about. He would love an active family that are happy to go for lovely walks with a water source he can swim in! Gray can find vet handling quite worrying, so is currently learning how to comfortably wear a muzzle for his vet visits. Gray is a super sweet boy, who walks well on lead and loves spending time with his favourite people. He will be a wonderful addition to the home!

About Gray

What life with Gray looks like

Gray is a young adult english bulldog dog waiting at Dogs Trust Cardiff in Cardiff.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Gray, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Gray?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Dogs Trust Cardiff handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Gray on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Gray if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Dogs Trust Cardiff will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Gray already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Gray isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Dogs Trust Cardiff early rather than rehoming privately; they know Gray and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
