Halloumi, Haribo, Haruka & Hippo

Mixed Breed Cat · Male · Kitten · 4 months

Gender: female, maleBorn: April 30, 2026Status: Available for adoptionOur four little dwarfs are now setting out in search of their forever homes and will likely move in at the end of July, after their second vaccination. Mama Hanka came to us as a free-roaming, pregnant cat. After making us wait quite a long time, she gave birth here without any complications to six kittens, who have all developed splendidly. Fortunately, they haven't picked up any mistrust toward humans from their mother—they're very open, friendly, cuddly, and playful young cats. We do not place our little dwarfs in single-cat households. They should always move into their new homes in pairs, because young cats need a playmate and social companion to be truly happy. Since these little explorers are already actively using our outdoor enclosure and certainly have plenty of energy, we'd like them to enjoy outdoor access later on in a suitably quiet environment. Interested parties are asked to arrange a meet-and-greet appointment with us by phone.

About Halloumi, Haribo, Haruka & Hippo

What life with Halloumi, Haribo, Haruka & Hippo looks like

Halloumi, Haribo, Haruka & Hippo is a small puppy/kitten mixed breed cat cat waiting at Tierheim Neu-Amerika in Annaberg-Buchholz.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Halloumi, Haribo, Haruka & Hippo, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Halloumi, Haribo, Haruka & Hippo?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierheim Neu-Amerika handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Halloumi, Haribo, Haruka & Hippo on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Halloumi, Haribo, Haruka & Hippo if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierheim Neu-Amerika will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Halloumi, Haribo, Haruka & Hippo already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Halloumi, Haribo, Haruka & Hippo isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierheim Neu-Amerika early rather than rehoming privately; they know Halloumi, Haribo, Haruka & Hippo and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
