Hardy

European Shorthair · Male · Young · 3 years

Hardy (with his brother Lucky) is a beautiful and friendly cat! Hardy is a very intelligent and calm cat who loves to be petted and asks for it with a soft meow! He gets along great with the other cats in the shelter. And with his brother Lucky, they are inseparable: they sleep, play, and groom each other. 04.07.2025 New photos. The brothers Lucky and Hardy are still waiting for someone to see how beautiful they are and adopt them. They have been in a foster home with more cats in a small space for over 2 years and deserve a family, a home where they can live happily. 02.01.2025 New photos. Joint adoption with Lucky. HARDY with his brother LUCKY were rescued as babies in a busy parking lot where they were in danger. They are inseparable siblings: they sleep together, eat together, groom each other, share toys and mischief. They are large, healthy, and active cats. Docile and very good natured. HARDY is a sweet and gentle cat: tender, purring and a bit shy. While his brother LUCKY is bold, crazy and very curious. Since their rescue, they have lived in the foster home and need a joint adoption, a permanent home where they will be loved and cared for as they deserve.

About Hardy

What life with Hardy looks like

Hardy is a young adult european shorthair cat waiting at Sálvanos Protectora in Spain.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇪🇸Adopting from Spain

Spanish protectoras generally include sterilization, all vaccinations, microchip ID, and EU pet passport in the adoption fee (typically €250–€400 for a dog, €100–€180 for a cat). Many maintain partnerships with rescue transport providers across the EU.

Frequently asked

Adopting Hardy, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Hardy?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Sálvanos Protectora handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Hardy on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Hardy if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Sálvanos Protectora will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Hardy already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Hardy isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Sálvanos Protectora early rather than rehoming privately; they know Hardy and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (ES). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
