Hilda

Mixed Breed · Female · Kitten

Hilda is a playful and affectionate kitten who is looking for a safe home with a secure outdoor area. She enjoys being close to her humans and thrives on attention. Sex: Female, June 2026 Outdoor/Indoor Cat Most Likely to Live with Dogs Have you ever heard of being an arm's length away? Not me, the only arms I've ever heard of are the ones that give me lots of cuddles. I would love to curl up in you if that were possible, so close I want to be. I like to lie on your lap, even though it's not close enough either. I'm probably half kangaroo, and would love to be in a safe and cozy pocket inside your belly. My kangaroo gene also comes out when I play. I can get quite rowdy, and run and bounce after both fishing rods and toy mice. Nobody is safe when my wild side comes out. Then I can forget myself a bit, and use my claws or bite. I'm having so much fun and think both hands and toys are enemies that need to be destroyed. It may be that I grow out of it when I get older. Although I'm a safe lady, I'm a bit shy at first. I always need some time to warm up if I haven't seen you in a while, but it doesn't take long before I'm warm in the sweater. I can tolerate being in a carrier and driving a car, but meow a lot at first. I think I can live with other cats since I'm very curious about the cat I live with now. I can also like children, but they must accept that I currently use claws and teeth in play. So the very youngest children should probably not live with me. I would like to run around outside in a safe environment when I'm old enough. I must be indoors until June 2027. Then I will be one year old and old enough to have fully developed my sense of direction to find my way home again. Hilda is spayed, chipped, and vaccinated. We charge an adoption fee of 3000,- Can you offer Hilda a good home with secure outdoor areas and lots of cuddles?

About Hilda

What life with Hilda looks like

Hilda is a large kitten mixed breed cat waiting at DYREBESKYTTELSEN NORGE OSLO OG AKERSHUS in Oslo.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇳🇴Adopting from Norway

Norwegian rescues require thorough background checks. Animals leave with a Nordic pet passport and full vetting. Norway is outside the EU so import rules differ slightly — TRACES applies.

Frequently asked

Adopting Hilda, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Hilda?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. DYREBESKYTTELSEN NORGE OSLO OG AKERSHUS handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Hilda on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Hilda if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — DYREBESKYTTELSEN NORGE OSLO OG AKERSHUS will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Hilda already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Hilda isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with DYREBESKYTTELSEN NORGE OSLO OG AKERSHUS early rather than rehoming privately; they know Hilda and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (NO). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
