adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Holly has found her people! Her story: Holly and her siblings Bentley, Shiloh, Koda, Volley, Bella, and Neli were brought from a Romanian foster home to the Public Shelter Bistrita due to space constraints. The winter in Bistrita is very harsh compared to other places. Temperatures can drop to –10 degrees during weather changes, which is barely tolerable for the dogs. The climate is even harder for puppies to endure. Therefore, we wish very much that the litter finds a warm home quickly. Holly and her siblings stand out with their cream-colored fur. They are just 4.5 months old and are expected to grow to medium size. The litter is playful, gets along well with other dogs, and loves human contact. compatibility with others Testing with cats has not been done. Holly has beautiful brown button eyes and cream-rosey fur. Overall, she is simply a wonderful sight. Her new family should be aware that Holly has not yet experienced life in a loving family. She still needs to learn the whole puppy ABC and is about to go through puberty. Here, she needs people who can approach her with lots of love and patience, possibly also attend some positively working dog training classes with her, and forgive her one or two mishaps. Leash walking, house training, and being left alone are still foreign words to her. During puberty, she will certainly test boundaries and perhaps forget some things she has learned. But once this phase is overcome, Holly will definitely become a wonderful lifelong companion. Have you already fallen in love with Holly? She has already packed her bags and is eagerly waiting for her forever home. Holly is microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and flea-treated. She brings an EU pet passport with her and can be adopted after a positive foster home trial. We would be very happy to have a sweet girl in a foster home! Thank you, Lea! You named Holly. Status: 20.11.

Hast du dich schon in Holly verliebt? Vielen Dank an Lea! Du hast Holly ihren Namen geschenkt. Stand: 20.11.2024

About Holly

What life with Holly looks like

Holly is a puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Holly, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Holly?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Holly on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Holly if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Holly already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Holly isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Holly and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
