Honden ter adoptie

Female · Adult · 6 years

Lily is a beautiful large dog with an estimated birth date of May 2020. She stands 58cm tall and weighs 36kg. Lily came to the Netherlands as a puppy from Romania and quickly found her warm place. Unfortunately, her situation changed due to a separation and she cannot stay with her current owner. Her little friend Benji is also looking for a new home. It would be wonderful if Lily and Benji could move together, but Lily can also move alone to a loving place. Lily is an impressive appearance. This beautiful white lady is a mix of the Mioritic breed and has a soft, calm and loving character. Despite her size, she is a friendly and balanced dog who likes to be close to her people. Her calm character makes her a wonderful housemate. In addition to her soft side, Lily also has a natural vigilance. She keeps a close eye on her surroundings and will protect her family when she thinks it is necessary. This shows exactly what her breed is known for: loyal, reliable and devoted. Lily is looking for a loving home where she can be herself again and where she gets the attention and stability she deserves. Are you looking for a loyal friend with a big heart? Then Lily might just be your perfect match.

About Honden ter adoptie

What life with Honden ter adoptie looks like

Honden ter adoptie is a large adult dog waiting at SOS Dogs Nederland in NN Didam.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. A larger dog like this one needs daily off-leash time when possible — a fenced yard or regular access to safe walking trails. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇳🇱Adopting from Netherlands

Dutch shelters typically require a household assessment and an adoption contract. Animals are routinely sterilized, microchipped, and registered in the national pet database (NDG) before placement.

Frequently asked

Adopting Honden ter adoptie, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Honden ter adoptie?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. SOS Dogs Nederland handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Honden ter adoptie on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Honden ter adoptie if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — SOS Dogs Nederland will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Honden ter adoptie already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Honden ter adoptie isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with SOS Dogs Nederland early rather than rehoming privately; they know Honden ter adoptie and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (NL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
