He spent four years in a Polish animal shelter, without a single chance of being rehomed. Four years only in the kennel, without exercise, without affection. But now everything is getting better for the little Terrier mix. Now Elmo has finally arrived with us and shows every day more what a great little guy is inside him. Elmo is lively, cheerful, agile and full of joy for life. He is curiously discovering the world and brings plenty of charm along. A bit of Terrier stubbornness definitely lies in him, but that's exactly what makes him so lovable. Of course, he still has a lot to learn, because he doesn't know much yet. We are currently training him to walk on a leash and he is already making real progress. If Elmo finds something scary, he shows it honestly. Then he just stops, or sits down and observes the situation first. Fortunately, he is easily bribed with treats, so he can be trained easily. For Elmo we wish active people who want to discover the world together with him. Long walks, small adventures and mental stimulation for his smart mind would bring him great pleasure. Elmo Rasse: Mischling Geboren: ca. 01.10.2019 Im Tierheim seit: 25.04.2026 Elmo ist seit 73 Tagen bei uns im Tierheim. Pate werden Meine Paten sind: Hund Elmo sucht ein Zuhause ~hat Interessenten~ Der kleine struppelige Rüde Elmo hat eine traurige Vergangenheit hinter sich. Ganze vier Jahre verbrachte er in einem polnischen Tierheim, ohne eine einzige Vermittlungschance. Vier Jahre nur im Zwinger, ohne Auslauf, ohne Zuspruch. Doch nun wird alles besser für den kleinen Terriermischling. Jetzt ist Elmo endlich bei uns angekommen und zeigt jeden Tag mehr, was für ein toller kleiner Kerl in ihm steckt. Elmo ist aufgeweckt, munter, agil und voller Lebensfreude. Er entdeckt gerade neugierig die Welt und bringt dabei ordentlich Charme mit. Ein bisschen Terrier-Sturkopf steckt definitiv in ihm, aber genau das macht ihn so liebenswert. Natürlich muss er noch einiges lernen, denn vieles kennt er bisher einfach nicht. Das Laufen an der Leine üben wir gerade mit ihm und da macht er schon richtig Fortschritte. Wenn Elmo etwas unheimlich findet, zeigt er das ganz ehrlich. Dann bleibt er einfach stehen, oder setzt sich hin und beobachtet erstmal die Lage. Zum Glück ist er gut mit Leckerli bestechlich, so dass man ihn leicht trainieren kann. Für Elmo wünschen wir uns aktive Menschen, die Lust haben, gemeinsam mit ihm die Welt zu entdecken. Lange Spaziergänge, kleine Abenteuer und Beschäftigung für sein kluges Köpfchen würden ihm großen Spaß machen.
