Adopt Hura

Mixed Breed · Female

Mixed breed, born approx. 12/2025, currently approx. 45cm tall. Compatible with: male dogs, female dogs, cats and children. Hura is a young female dog who is simply impossible to ignore - with her dazzling blue eyes, beautiful markings and special aura, she attracts everyone's attention. But it's not just her looks that make her truly special, her character makes her a real heartdog. The beautiful Hura shows herself open, friendly and full of joy for life. She is playful, curious and wants to explore the world. You can immediately feel that she still wants to experience so much - walks together, exciting adventures, learning new things and then relaxing happily by the side of her humans. Currently, Hura lives with her siblings in a Spanish animal shelter. However, this should only be a short stop for a young female dog like her, because she longs for a home where she can arrive and finally learn what it means to feel security, love and safety. Hura is compatible with other dogs and already knows cats. This gives her the best prerequisites to fit into various family situations. Of course, she still has a lot to learn due to her age, but with loving guidance and patience she will surely develop into a wonderful companion. Who would like to open the door to a new life for this extraordinary young female dog and show Hura what a real home feels like? Hura is obviously microchipped, vaccinated, registered and checked by a veterinarian. She also brings an EU vaccination certificate with her to her new home. All the pictures we have of Hura are arranged in a slideshow above on the page. Take the time to look at the pictures, or click on them to see the next one. Contact:

About Hura

What life with Hura looks like

Hura is a adult mixed breed dog waiting at Hoffnungsvolle Tierherzen e.V. in Essingen.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Hura, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Hura?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Hoffnungsvolle Tierherzen e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Hura on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Hura if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Hoffnungsvolle Tierherzen e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Hura already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Hura isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Hoffnungsvolle Tierherzen e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Hura and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
