KARVAPALL IKELA WANTS TO GO BACK HOME!!! If we are to tell the whole story from the beginning, this adorable, green-eyed, then about 2-year-old kitten was found at Pesaleidja cat shelter in Jõelähtme in February 2023. The kitten found a home, but unfortunately, due to a move, after 2 years of being in a home, the kitten came back to our animal shelter...... After a couple of months in foster care, Ikela has been with the foster family since 27.01.2026. Ikela is an adorable tabby with a soft fur, whose heart slowly opens — but when it does, it really does. He purrs with all his might (even when the alarm clock rings in the morning) and his soft fur is worth earning trust. The way into his heart is through treats — especially Churu pastes. With these, he gradually allows petting. Ikela is sensitive and needs time. In a new environment, he sometimes hides, but this is not spiteful — rather a way of saying: "give me some space". He doesn't attack, but keeps distance and watches. His gentle breath needs time to start trusting people again. During the day, Ikela prefers to be safely hidden (e.g. under the bed), but at night and during the night, his curious and playful side comes out. When the family is away, he likes to sit on the windowsill and interact with the birds. Ikela fits into a home where: there is a calm pace and a patient person. It is understood that trust takes time and that small steps are appreciated, not expecting an immediately affectionate cat. A quiet other cat would suit Ikela very well, to learn from and feel safer in her company. Ikela is still very shy, but one day, he could become the cat who purrs the loudest by your side. Pool aastat hiljem... Ikela otsib endiselt oma päris kodu. Ikela on sündinud 2021. aastal ning tuli kassituppa Jõelähtmelt. Viimased pool aastat on ta olnud hoiukodus ja selle ajaga on ta teinud suuri edusamme. Kunagine arglik peitupugeja otsib nüüd ise lähedust. Ta tuleb lähemale, nurrub mõnuga ja sõtkub kõigi nelja käpaga taigent. Saadab sind uudishimulikult ringi ning veedab meeleldi aega aknalaual linde jälgides. Ikela lemmik koht on voodis, aga ainult siis, kui ta saab magamistoas rahulikult üksi olla. Aga... Ikela on ikka Ikela. ❤️ Tema arvates võiksid paid olla silmadega tehtud. Kui käsi liiga enesekindlalt läheneb, meenutab ta väikese sisinaga või käpahoobiga, et viisakas vahemaa on endiselt tema lemmik. Ta ei ole pahatahtlik ega ründa – ta lihtsalt vajab aega ja võimalust ise otsustada, millal füüsiline kontakt on okei. Ja hetkel veel ei ole...
