Adopt Rosa

Mixed Breed · Female · Young · 1 year

What belongs together should not be separated. Sou and Rosa are two little fighters whose paths have found each other in a special way. Both started their lives under difficult conditions on the street, both experienced pain, fear and uncertainty - and both fought back into life with admirable strength. What connects them today is more than just chance: it is a deep, quiet friendship that gives them support, security and trust. Sou was found as a tiny, sick kitten, weakened and full of fear of the world. For a long time she withdrew, observing everything from a distance and needing much patience to gain trust. Rosa, on the other hand, also arrived sick and disoriented, with a severe eye infection and an uncertain future. But she too was not defeated. Both cats have gradually recovered - physically and emotionally - and found each other along the way. Today, Sou and Rosa are inseparable. They play together, snuggle closely, eat side by side, and give each other the security they have missed for so long. Where Sou is calm, gentle and cautious, Rosa brings curiosity, confidence and openness. They complement each other perfectly and give each other exactly what they need. Sou strongly relies on Rosa, while Rosa in turn shows a touching consideration and connection towards her delicate friend. Both live easily with other cats and dogs, are social, friendly and balanced. Sou enjoys a quiet, protected home without outdoor access, while Rosa is curious, but finds her greatest joy in being with her humans and especially with Sou. Despite their different characters, one thing is clear: a separation would break both of their hearts. Sou and Rosa have learned together to trust the world again. Now they wish for a loving home that gives them time, patience and security - and understands that these two souls can only be happy together. Sou and Rosa will only be rehomed together, because their bond is their safe harbor - and only together are they truly complete.

About Rosa

What life with Rosa looks like

Rosa is a young adult mixed breed cat waiting at Aegean Dogs e.V. / FAZA Aegina in Berlin.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Rosa, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Rosa?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Aegean Dogs e.V. / FAZA Aegina handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Rosa on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Rosa if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Aegean Dogs e.V. / FAZA Aegina will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Rosa already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Rosa isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Aegean Dogs e.V. / FAZA Aegina early rather than rehoming privately; they know Rosa and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
