Jack

Mixed Breed · Unknown · Young · 3 years

One-eyed Jack is looking for a family for himself. The boy is 2-3 years old, unfortunately lost his eye under unknown circumstances. He weighs about 12 kg. He is loving and very gentle... clearly shows when something doesn't suit him and is cautious with people at the first contact. He won't immediately allow everything, but he gladly gives kisses to most dogs and should get along with cats. At Dt he lives with 8 cats and gets along well with 6 dogs. Only our funded Devonk wanted to attack, so it's necessary to check individually with other animals. He learns quickly and has something of a border in him. He is castrated, vaccinated and dewormed. We are looking for a house rather than an apartment for him. Adoption may have problems with separation from a person and animal company in the first days. We don't give dogs to sheds. Adoption procedure: 1. Fill out the adoption questionnaire: Adoption Questionnaire 2. Getting to know the dog, some dogs may require several meetings. 3. Pre-adoption visit 4. Signing the adoption contract and handing over the dog. Foundation details: foundation I AM THE VOICE OF THOSE WHO CAN'T SPEAK Rybnik 44-207 ul. Rybacka 54a.

Procedura adopcyjna: 1. Wypełnienie ankiety adopcyjnej: Ankieta adopcyjna 2. Zapoznanie z psem, niektóre psy mogą wymagać kilku spotkań. 3. Wizyta przedadopcyjna 4. Podpisanie umowy adopcyjnej i przekazanie psa. Dane Fundacji: FUNDACJA JESTEM GŁOSEM TYCH, CO NIE MÓWIĄ Rybnik 44-207 ul. Rybacka 54a. Kontakt Agata 506 952 182

About Jack

What life with Jack looks like

Jack is a young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Fundacja Jestem Głosem Tych Co Nie Mówią in Poland.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Jack, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Jack?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Fundacja Jestem Głosem Tych Co Nie Mówią handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Jack on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Jack if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Fundacja Jestem Głosem Tych Co Nie Mówią will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Jack already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Jack isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Fundacja Jestem Głosem Tych Co Nie Mówią early rather than rehoming privately; they know Jack and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
