Jaffa

Lurcher Β· Female Β· Young Β· 1 year

Jaffa Jaffa was tied to a pole outside mckennas in April 23 and left.various superficial wounds but nothing long lasting. We guess was he was 12 to 15 months old and hes been with us since.Good with dogs both male or female.very easy on the lead.loves his walks.Jaffa cab be a bit shy of new people but once you give him a snuggle he’s all yours. In general Jaffa is just a great dog,A young typical lurcher. He would love a sofa of his own, and who ever gets him will be very lucky. we’ve rehomed several lurchers and greyhounds. Unfortunately, for some baffling reason he has always been overlooked.Jaffa wouldn’t be cat friendly.Currently in kennels in Ireland.Jaffa would love a home with no young kids, he can be quite bouncy. Remember, Jaffa is still a you lurcher.A home with a garden.Someone at home most of the time.Maybe a like minded bitey face playmate. He will be neutered and vaccinated.www.norfolkgreyhoundrescue.co.uk Click here for Adoption Details

About Jaffa

What life with Jaffa looks like

Jaffa is a young adult lurcher dog waiting at Norfolk Greyhound Rescue in United Kingdom.

A young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" β€” quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures β€” to let them settle.

πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Jaffa, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Jaffa?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Norfolk Greyhound Rescue handles screening and the adoption contract directly β€” TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Jaffa on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Jaffa if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad β€” Norfolk Greyhound Rescue will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Jaffa already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported β€” ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Jaffa isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work β€” that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Norfolk Greyhound Rescue early rather than rehoming privately; they know Jaffa and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect β€” names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
