Jasna

Mixed Breed · Female · Senior · 10 years

Jasna – looking for a calm home. Status: available for adoption. There are dogs who immediately jump onto laps and shower everyone around them with kisses. Jasna is different. Jasna is a gentle, sensitive female dog who needs time to trust humans. At first, the world seems a bit too loud, too fast, and too unpredictable for her. She observes from a safe distance, hides, and carefully analyzes everything. But if you give her patience, peace, and space, something truly special will happen. First, she’ll lie down a little closer. Then she’ll start greeting you. And one day, she’ll fall asleep beside you, resting her nose against your leg. 💛 It’s these small steps that represent Jasna’s greatest successes. She’s incredibly gentle. She never reacts aggressively, doesn’t bark unnecessarily, and doesn’t howl. At home, she behaves impeccably—when left alone, she simply rests peacefully. She doesn’t destroy anything. 🐱 Cats? She loves them. She can snuggle up next to her feline friend and nap together on the same bed. 🐶 Dogs? They’re not essential for her happiness. Some make her nervous, though she can accept calm and unobtrusive ones. 👶 Children? She tends to be wary of them, so she’d do best in a quiet home without small children or with very mindful introductions. On walks, Jasna feels most comfortable in places she knows well and where she knows what to expect. In new places, she needs a guide to show her that she doesn’t have to worry about everything. She’s a very smart dog who seeks a sense of security in humans. We’re looking for a calm, stable, and patient home for her—a home that won’t expect immediate gratitude but will appreciate every tiny step toward trust. Because Jasna doesn’t give her heart away right away. But once she does—she gives it forever. ❤️ — DOG ADOPTION — 🧮 Date of birth: 13-01-2016 🚻 Gender: female 🐾 Size: 10 kg 🏀 Activity level: medium ❤️ Spayed: yes ℹ️ Microchipped: yes 💉 Vaccinated: yes 📍 Location: Foster home in the Tricity area ✅ The dog is currently in a foster home in the Tricity region and surrounding areas. ✅ Adoption requirements include: completing an application form, a pre-adoption visit, and signing an adoption agreement. ✅ APPLICATION LINK: ✅ We reserve the right to contact selected applicants. Jasna to delikatna, wrażliwa suczka, która potrzebuje czasu, by zaufać człowiekowi.

About Jasna

What life with Jasna looks like

Jasna is a small senior mixed breed dog waiting at Fundacja Judyta dla Psiego Losu in Poland.

Senior dogs settle in faster than younger ones. They want a soft bed, predictable meals, and short, sniff-heavy walks rather than runs. Many senior rescues bond deeply within weeks because they understand exactly how good a stable home is. Expect occasional vet visits for joint or dental care.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Jasna, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Jasna?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Fundacja Judyta dla Psiego Losu handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Jasna on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Jasna if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Fundacja Judyta dla Psiego Losu will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Jasna already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Jasna isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Fundacja Judyta dla Psiego Losu early rather than rehoming privately; they know Jasna and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
