adoption requirements adoption process Adopt now this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Jenna has found a home! Her story: 26810, Westoverledingen. Jenna has settled well in her foster home at the Pony Farm. She has integrated perfectly into the pack and gets along well with the existing animals, whether cat, rabbit, horse, or cow. She shows herself to be a very open and friendly young puppy. Even towards strangers, she is open and friendly. Overall, she is a very relaxed and quiet puppy. She likes to go for walks and gets plenty of exercise, but she is calm and not affected by the hustle and bustle of the pack. Her story: Noah, Nathan, and their sister Jenna were picked up by us on the street. The little gang now lives safely away from dangerous cars and poison baits. However, all three do not wish to grow up in the loud, barren animal shelter but to move into a loving family with a warm dog bed. Jenna is a lively, curious mouse, who greets with a wagging tail when you enter the small pen. She stretches her head demonstratively towards you and demands cuddles. The little puppy is a real looker with her brown-black fur. She is 4 months old and currently weighs around 8 kilos. We suspect she will grow to be a medium-sized dog. For the social female dog, we wish for people who will welcome her without expectations. Jenna is still a baby and needs time, love, and the occasional treat to settle into her new life. She also has puberty ahead, a time when young puppies often have a bit of mischief in their heads and test their limits. With sovereign and loving consistency, one should accompany Jenna through this time. A visit to a positively working dog or puppy school would make Jenna incredibly happy! After a positive assessment, she will be microchipped, dewormed, and issued an EU pet passport. She would also be thrilled about a loving foster home. Has Jenna managed to make your heart beat a little faster? We look forward to your inquiry! Many thanks to Gritt K., who has taken on the namesake sponsorship for Jenna. This is a young, adolescent dog.

About Jenna

What life with Jenna looks like

Jenna is a extra-large puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Jenna, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Jenna?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Jenna on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Jenna if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Jenna already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Jenna isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Jenna and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
