JINGLES

Mixed Breed · Male · Adult · 7 years

Estimated birthdate: August 2019 Brief info: friendly, active, adventurous, curious JINGLES appeared on the premises of a company in August 2019. As there are many lorries arriving and departing there, it was very dangerous for the little dog. But fortunately, one of the employees informed the animal shelter. JINGLES has a chip, but it was only a distant address without a name or phone number of the owner registered. So he remained in the animal shelter. From the beginning, JINGLES showed himself to be a friendly, active, and lively dog. He is especially happy when he is allowed out of the exercise yard – then he really comes alive and enjoys every walk, as well as just a little bit of running in the run. However, the shelter team suspects that like unfortunately still so many dogs in Hungary, JINGLES has probably lived on a chain or in an exercise yard without human affection or attention, because he currently does not show much interest in the people around him and does not immediately bond with them like many other dogs do. But he is also only very recently in the shelter, and so much can still develop. Compatibility with other animals has not yet been tested with his fellow animals. This will, however, be followed up soon. In the run, he already shows a neutral attitude towards the other dogs in the surrounding exercise yards. With patience, understanding, and loving guidance, JINGLES will learn that human love can be very positive for him, and will hopefully then be able to enjoy all the beautiful sides of a dog’s life. For people who give him time and have fun with an active companion, he can be a wonderful companion. JINGLES is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and with an EU pet passport for his new home. Would you like to give this adventurous little dog a wonderful home? We look forward to your message!

About JINGLES

What life with JINGLES looks like

JINGLES is a small adult mixed breed dog waiting at Pfotenretter Ungarn in Pfotenretter.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇨🇭Adopting from Switzerland

Swiss shelters require a home visit (Platzkontrolle) and proof of suitable accommodation. Cantons each have their own additional dog-keeping requirements (e.g. SKN training in some areas). Animals leave sterilized and chipped.

Frequently asked

Adopting JINGLES, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about JINGLES?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Pfotenretter Ungarn handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw JINGLES on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt JINGLES if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Pfotenretter Ungarn will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is JINGLES already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if JINGLES isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Pfotenretter Ungarn early rather than rehoming privately; they know JINGLES and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
