Jodie (Dark Blue Collar)

Mixed Breed · Female · Puppy · 2 months

Meet Jodie, our sweet Bull Mastiff cross pup! Jodie is a sweet, fun loving puppy who is full of energy and curiosity about the world around her. She loves nothing more than to play with her toys and snuggle in a free lap. Jodie is looking for committed owners, with a good knowledge of guardian type dogs, that can offer her the time and patience to help her grow into a confident adult dog. Jodie is a Bull Mastiff cross and will grow to be a large dog, meaning that training will need to be a priority from the get-go. With other dogs, Jodie has shown to be excitable and playful sometime lacking manners when it comes to play. For this reason we believe she could potentially live with a patient, role model type dog that can help her develop good social skills. She could also potentially live in a home with a dog savvy cat. Jodie is a very sweet girl, but due to her breed size and mouthy puppy behaviour she would be more suitable to live with sensible older children. As she is a young pup who will need toilet training from scratch, a private garden is essential. Like any young pup, Jodie will need guidance, training and plenty of enrichment as she grows, but she is a bright little dog with lots of potential. With the right support and patience, she is sure to grow into a fun and loving companion. About Jodie (Dark Blue Collar)

What life with Jodie (Dark Blue Collar) looks like

Jodie (Dark Blue Collar) is a large puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Battersea Dogs & Cats Home in London.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Jodie (Dark Blue Collar), answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Jodie (Dark Blue Collar)?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Battersea Dogs & Cats Home handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Jodie (Dark Blue Collar) on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Jodie (Dark Blue Collar) if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Battersea Dogs & Cats Home will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Jodie (Dark Blue Collar) already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Jodie (Dark Blue Collar) isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Battersea Dogs & Cats Home early rather than rehoming privately; they know Jodie (Dark Blue Collar) and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
