Johnny has shown to be compatible with cats in Melampo. Johnny was found alone on a walk in the countryside. There were no houses in the vicinity, and it seemed he belonged to no one, as he did not have a chip. He was very thin, his skin was in poor condition, and there were clear signs that he had worn a collar for a long time. His condition also indicated that he had not been well cared for and was only inadequately fed. At the vet, he tested negative for Mediterranean diseases. Further examination revealed a large bladder stone formation that had to be surgically removed. For medical reasons, Johnny requires permanent special food to prevent the formation of bladder stones again. Johnny has a very good and balanced character. He is friendly, gentle, obedient, and very people-oriented. He enjoys cuddles, proximity, and physical contact. He actively seeks the company of people and clearly feels comfortable doing so. From the start, Johnny showed social behavior with other dogs. He gets along well with other dogs, both males and females. Therefore, he can daily join the large group of dogs in the run. Johnny travels calmly in the car and goes along peacefully on the leash. Due to his quick and positive adaptation to life in the animal shelter, we assume that he will integrate just as well into a loving home. Unfortunately, since Johnny has a neutered testicle, a home in Switzerland is unfortunately not an option.

Johnny hat sich in Melampo verträglich mit Katzen gezeigt. Johnny wurde allein bei einem Spaziergang auf dem Land gefunden. In der Umgebung gab es keine Häuser und er schien niemandem zu gehören, zudem trug er keinen Chip. Er war sehr dünn, seine Haut war in schlechtem Zustand, und es gab deutliche Spuren davon, dass er über längere Zeit ein Halsband getragen hatte. Gleichzeitig zeigte sein Zustand, dass er nicht gepflegt und nur mangelhaft gefüttert worden war. Beim Tierarzt wurde er negativ auf Mittelmeerkrankheiten getestet. Bei der weiteren Untersuchung zeigte eine Röntgenaufnahme eine grosse Blasensteinbildung, die operativ entfernt werden musste. Aus medizinischen Gründen benötigt Johnny darum dauerhaft Spezialfutter, um der erneuten Bildung von Blasensteinen vorzubeugen. Johnny hat einen sehr guten und ausgeglichenen Charakter. Er ist freundlich, sanft, gehorsam und sehr menschenbezogen. Er geniesst Streicheleinheiten, Nähe und körperlichen Kontakt. Er sucht bewusst die Nähe der Menschen und fühlt sich dabei sichtbar wohl. Von Beginn an zeigte sich Johnny im Umgang mit anderen Hunden sozial. Er versteht sich gut mit anderen Hunden, sowohl mit Rüden als auch mit Hündinnen. So kann er täglich mit der grossen Hundegruppe in den Auslauf. Johnny fährt ruhig im Auto und geht entspannt an der Leine. Aufgrund seiner schnellen und positiven Anpassung an das Leben im Tierheim gehen wir davon aus, dass er sich ebenso gut in ein liebevolles Zuhause integrieren wird. Da Johnny leider eine kupierte Rute hat, kommt ein Zuhause in der Schweiz leider nicht in Frage.
