Joppes familj berättar: ”När Joppe känner sig trygg är han väldigt gosig och älskar att ligga nära, gärna på rygg med benen rakt upp i vädret. Personer han träffar regelbundet kan han vänja sig vid, och efter ett tag blir han trygg nog att inte reagera på hastiga rörelser och låter dem klappa honom. Inomhus är han en riktig soffpotatis, men ute i naturen springer han med stor glädje i långlina och njuter av naturen. Han fungerar fint med hundar som han känner och tycker om att leka. Vi går regelbundet promenader med hans whippetkompis, och de får även springa tillsammans på inhägnat område. Vid kopplade hundmöten med nya hundar går Joppe upp i varv och behöver fortsatt träning i dessa situationer. Han är rädd för att vara själv och kan i dagsläget inte lämnas ensam alls. Med oss fungerar vardaglig hantering bra, som kloklippning, tandborstning, dusch, öronrengöring, klippning av tasspäls och borstning av pälsen. Veterinärbesök är lite läskigt, men går bra. Han är van att åka bil, både i bur och i baksätet med säkerhetsbälte. Så länge han inte blir lämnad själv i bilen är han alltid glad att hoppa in, vid längre bilresor lägger han sig och vilar och man hör inte ett pip. Joppe omplaceras på grund av att han inte kan vara själv och att han har svårt vid hundmöten.
