Joy and her eight siblings were found on a remote property when they were just a few weeks old. They have since been lovingly cared for by local residents, and three of the little ones, Joy, Briana, and Holly, are now allowed to move into our Ark to search for their forever people from here. The siblings currently meet with peers of all sizes and ages at our shelter to lay the foundation for extensive socialization. They are also being trained in leash walking and living indoors alongside our volunteers. Joy is already settling well in her new home, even showing that a coexistence with cats in her future home would be possible. Compared to her sisters, Joy is still very reserved. While she clearly wants to seek human contact, she often can't overcome her fears. However, through intensive training, she has made great progress and has even sought close physical contact on several occasions. Joy gets along well with other dogs but remains in the background. We are now looking for a home where Joy will experience loving yet consistent upbringing. A confident first dog would be beneficial for Joy, but it is not a requirement for adoption.

Daraufhin wurden sie liebevoll von Anwohnern versorgt und drei der Kleinen, Joy, Briana und Holly, durften mittlerweile in unsere Arche ziehen, um nun von hier aus ihre Für-immer-Menschen zu suchen. Bei uns lernen die Geschwister aktuell Artgenossen aller Größen und jeden Alters kennen, um den Grundstein einer umfangreichen Sozialisierung zu legen. Auch an das Laufen an der Leine und das Leben im Haus werden sie an der Seite unserer Volontäre zur Zeit gewöhnt.Joy kommt im Haus bereits prima zur Ruhe und hat dabei sogar schon gezeigt, dass ein Zusammenleben mit Katzen in ihrem zukünftigen Zuhause problemlos vorstellbar wäre. Im Vergleich zu ihren Schwestern ist Joy noch sehr zurückhaltend. Zwar zeigt sie deutlich, dass sie gerne den Kontakt zum Menschen suchen will, aber schafft es dabei oft noch nicht, ihre Ängste zu überwinden. Durch ein intensives Training hat sie hier aber bereits große Fortschritte gemacht und sogar schon mehrfach den engen Körperkontakt gesucht. In Hundegruppen kommt Joy problemlos zurecht, bleibt aber auch hier eher im Hintergrund. Für Joy suchen wir nun ein Zuhause, in dem sie eine liebevolle, aber ebenso konsequente Erziehung erfahren darf.
