Kalamiti has spent her entire life in a shelter in Žarkovica - first there, later in the new shelter. She has only known life in a pack so far and has hardly gained any experience outside of shelter life. Accordingly, she reacts uncertainly to new situations and strangers. If she feels threatened or cornered, she can snap out of fear. Therefore, we are looking for a particularly experienced and patient home for Kalamiti, where she can be approached with understanding, calmness and structure. People who know fearful dogs and know that trust takes time. A quiet, rural home with a securely fenced garden would be ideal - without much traffic, noise or frequent visits. Kalamiti should be allowed to live as a single dog, so that she can arrive at her own pace and feel safe. In the shelter, she shows herself to be social within her pack and gets along well with dogs of both sexes. She is not familiar with walking on a leash outside, but with patience, positive training and a loving environment, she can learn step by step to discover the world. Kalamiti is not a dog for quick successes - but for people with heart who enjoy giving a particularly shy animal security and trust. With stability and affection, she also has the chance to blossom one day.
