Karion

Mixed Breed · Male · Young · 2 years

Karion is a charming four-legged friend who has been given the name Karion. He was spotted wandering alone on May 22, 2026, just outside Kecskemét, Hungary, and reported to the animal shelter by concerned passersby. The shelter staff immediately responded and were able to bring Karion safely into the shelter. Unfortunately, as is often the case, he was neither microchipped nor reported missing, something we will never understand... We can't change his past, but his future is very important to us. Karion is now waiting in the shelter for his new humans, who will walk with him on his further life path and never leave him behind. Karion is not only a sweet little guy, he is also a fine fellow, a small, cheerful sunshine. Friendly, loving, lively and open-minded, he shows himself at the shelter, sometimes briefly shy around strangers, but this quickly passes. He loves petting and would like to have more of it, as well as attention, affection, care and people who are there for him, which he never wants to miss again. Walking on a leash is already quite good, of course, it can still be improved and his new two-legged friends should enjoy teaching him the rest of the dog multiplication table lovingly. Which undiscovered talents lie within him, his new humans will find out. Even as a smaller dog, Karion has the same needs as his big dog friends and wants to be treated accordingly. He gets along well with his fellow dogs and is currently (June 26, 2026) being integrated into a mixed pack. We wish for our dearest Karion loving and dog-enthusiastic people who will walk through thick and thin with him. Karion wants to be loved, cared for and engaged in a dog-friendly way and enjoy his new life happily, protected and carefree. Strolling through forests and meadows with his humans and being pampered, with many pets and cuddle hours, that's exactly what Karion likes. In return, he brings a lot of love and joy into his new home. Who has a free basket for Karion? Karion can travel from around the beginning of July/mid-July 2026 if he finds a home or foster home.

About Karion

What life with Karion looks like

Karion is a small young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Animal Happyend in Animal Happyend.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇨🇭Adopting from Switzerland

Swiss shelters require a home visit (Platzkontrolle) and proof of suitable accommodation. Cantons each have their own additional dog-keeping requirements (e.g. SKN training in some areas). Animals leave sterilized and chipped.

Frequently asked

Adopting Karion, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Karion?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Animal Happyend handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Karion on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Karion if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Animal Happyend will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Karion already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Karion isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Animal Happyend early rather than rehoming privately; they know Karion and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
