Kaśka

Female · Senior · 10 years

Kaśka. This is the name she was given in her home. She had her people, her place and a daily routine that suddenly ended. Today she has a shelter room but still doesn't stop believing someone will come for her. She's a real volcano of energy. Joyful, lively and full of life. As soon as the doors open, Kaśka rushes out on a walk with great enthusiasm, as if she wants to make up for every minute spent behind bars. She enjoys movement, the world and every moment outside the shelter room. Most of all, however, she misses a human being. She is thirsty for closeness and attention. She can loudly call out to anyone who passes by her room as if saying: "Stop. Look at me. I deserve a home too." And it's really hard to walk past her indifferently. Kaśka is a polite and friendly little girl. She gets along well with other dogs and lives peacefully with them in the shelter room. She doesn't seek conflicts, she just wants to live, run, love and be someone's beloved little dog again. Not long ago she was a house pet. She had someone to love and was loved back. We would really like it if the shelter were only a short stop for her, not a new reality. Kaśka is waiting. With all her temperament, joy and huge heart. She's waiting for a person who will call her by name and never let her lose him again.

PL·Show original

To prawdziwy wulkan energii. Radosna, żywiołowa i pełna życia. Zobacz mnie. Ja też zasługuję na dom”. I naprawdę trudno przejść obok niej obojętnie. Z całym swoim temperamentem, radością i ogromnym sercem. Czeka na człowieka, który zawoła ją po imieniu i już nigdy więcej nie pozwoli jej go stracić.

About Kaśka

What life with Kaśka looks like

Kaśka is a small senior dog waiting at Schronisko Na Paluchu in Warsaw.

Senior dogs settle in faster than younger ones. They want a soft bed, predictable meals, and short, sniff-heavy walks rather than runs. Many senior rescues bond deeply within weeks because they understand exactly how good a stable home is. Expect occasional vet visits for joint or dental care.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Kaśka, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Kaśka?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Schronisko Na Paluchu handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Kaśka on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Kaśka if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Schronisko Na Paluchu will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Kaśka already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Kaśka isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Schronisko Na Paluchu early rather than rehoming privately; they know Kaśka and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
