Adopt Kastrationsaktionen

Mixed Breed · Unknown · Young · 1 year

To the goal of controlling the breeding of stray cats, the Free State of Bavaria grants the animal aid organization Weidenberg e.V. a grant of up to a total of 7,200 euros (subsidy for 72 cats: 70 euros, subsidy for 48 tomcats: 45 euros) for the period from August 29, 2025 to August 28, 2026 (the granting of the grant is conditional upon the final determination in a final decision). The total cost per animal amounts to approximately 200 euros per cat and 120 euros per tomcat. The remaining amount must be financed by our association from its own funds (membership fees, donations, market sales). Please support us in our project to keep the exponentially growing cat populations under control in our area of operation. Report unneutered, wild-living cats to us. We also appreciate every donation and active help!

About Kastrationsaktionen

What life with Kastrationsaktionen looks like

Kastrationsaktionen is a small young adult mixed breed animal waiting at Tierhilfe Weidenberg in Germany.

Every animal has their own temperament and history. The shelter knows Kastrationsaktionen far better than any listing can convey — ask about daily routine, ideal household, and what kind of adopter they're hoping for.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Kastrationsaktionen, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Kastrationsaktionen?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierhilfe Weidenberg handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Kastrationsaktionen on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Kastrationsaktionen if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierhilfe Weidenberg will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Kastrationsaktionen already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most animals on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Kastrationsaktionen isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierhilfe Weidenberg early rather than rehoming privately; they know Kastrationsaktionen and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
