Adopt Kazik

Mixed Breed · Male

Kazik – a golden prince, slow-life is looking for his person 🧡🐾 status: available for adoption Golden, fluffy and absolutely charming – Kazik looks like a soft cushion on hard days and hugs just like that. He is a dog with neuro-sensory differences, but instead of drama, he chooses sensitivity, routine and closeness. His challenges do not prevent adoption – he simply needs a home that appreciates the pace "calm down, we can handle it". Kazik is super human-friendly: jumps with joy, licks, gets under your arm and greets everyone as if they just returned from a long journey. He has enthusiasm in the package, but needs to work on delicacy 😉 With children, he has a positive attitude, but due to his "jumping joy", we recommend a home with older children. With dogs, it's different, because he doesn't read dog signals well – with adults he can spark, while young, relaxed ones get his attention. He will be happiest as an only dog or after a calm check with a younger, very relaxed dog. Cats? That's probably not his thing. At home, Kazik is surprisingly quiet – he barks rarely, mostly when he hears something new or when you come back (there will be no shortage of fanfare! 🔔). He maintains a nice daily routine, but cleanliness varies: after a meal he might make a mess and doesn't clearly signal it, so the human guide should remember to take him out quickly after eating. Being left alone is mastered – he whimpers for a moment at the entrance, then puts his crown down, lies down and politely waits; he doesn't destroy anything, doesn't howl. Kazik is a philosopher of walks: he doesn't pull, he doesn't run away, but he prefers the slow mode – lots of standing, sniffing and analyzing the world. He isn't a long-distance walker or record-breaker, so a garden will be a huge convenience and comfort for him. In the car, he remains calm, but city traffic with too many stimuli and cramped space won't be a good choice for him. At the vet, Kazik is cheerful and very human-friendly – he doesn't bark, he doesn't fight, but it's hard for him to stay in one place, so it's best to act efficiently, because "Kazik doesn't have time for nonsense" 😄 In stressful situations, he doesn't use his teeth – rather, he freezes or creates a little chaos, without bad intentions. He is a soft-hearted guy with a big need for support, who beautifully gives back affection and trust. For Kacper, the best home would be a calm, sensitive one, with a routine and a gentle daily plan. Best with a garden or easy access to greenery, without cats, without dogs or possibly with a young, very relaxed dog after a wise introduction. A home that chooses snuggling over marathons and consistent, kind care over rush. In return, you'll get loyalty, cuddles and that famous healing gaze that disperses all clouds. If you feel that Kazik is your golden prince of quiet mornings and soft evenings, give him a chance. Fill out the adoption questionnaire, get to know each other, and he will quickly show how beautifully he can love. ✉️ —- DOG PROFILE —- 🧮 Year of birth: 01.2021 🚻 Gender: male 🐾 Size: small 🏀 Activity: currently about 6kg ❤️ neutered: yes ℹ️ Chip: yes 💉 Vaccinations: yes ✅ dog is under the care of the Tricity branch of the Judyta Puppies Foundation ✅ dog is located in a temporary home in the Tricity area and surroundings ✅ Adoption obligation: completing the questionnaire, pre-adoption visit and signing the adoption agreement ✅ LINK TO QUESTIONNAIRE:

About Kazik

What life with Kazik looks like

Kazik is a small adult mixed breed dog waiting at Fundacja Judyta dla Psiego Losu in Poland.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Kazik, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Kazik?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Fundacja Judyta dla Psiego Losu handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Kazik on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Kazik if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Fundacja Judyta dla Psiego Losu will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Kazik already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Kazik isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Fundacja Judyta dla Psiego Losu early rather than rehoming privately; they know Kazik and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
