A young Kea is looking for a new home for reasons beyond her control. Kea is a happy and people-loving dog who enjoys human company and playing together. As a young dog, she needs a human by her side who can guide her energy and need for activity in the right direction. Training and proper stimulation are an important part of everyday life with Kea. She walks on a leash quite well, although she has only had a short time of training. Kea has gotten along well with the 5-year-old child in the foster home. Kea has gotten along well with other dogs in Finland, but she could also adapt well as the only dog. The most important thing would be to find a committed and patient person or family for Kea who will continue training with the young dog and help her grow into a balanced adult.Background and storyThere are municipal kennels all over Romania where stray dogs are collected by the pound. The conditions in these municipal kennels are harsh. Things are especially bad in smaller towns and areas where there are few animal welfare advocates. When there is little help for dogs, the municipal kennels fill up quickly. So the kennels are regularly emptied by killing all the dogs on the kennel, from puppies to old dogs. The municipal kennel in Brasov is one of these sad cases where dogs are often killed. That is why Delia, who runs the Care for Dogs shelter, and her team always try to rescue as many dogs as possible from the municipal kennel so that at least some of the dogs can have a chance at a better life. One of the dogs rescued from that kennel in March 2026 was Kea, who came to Care for Dogs. Kea is a gentle and friendly person. It is a real blessing that her stay at the kennel is short, because she is waiting for her own home in Finland.

16.8.2026Nuori Kea palaa etsimään uutta kotia itsestään riippumattomista syistä. Kea on iloinen ja ihmisrakas koira, joka nauttii ihmisten seurasta ja yhdessä puuhailusta. Nuorena koirana hän tarvitsee rinnalleen ihmisen, joka osaa ohjata nuoren koiran energiaa ja tekemisen tarvetta oikeisiin asioihin. Kean kanssa yhdessä harjoittelu ja sopiva aktivointi ovatkin tärkeä osa yhteistä arkea. Hän kulkee hihnassa jo melko hienosti, vaikka harjoittelua on takana vasta lyhyen aikaa. Hoitopaikassa Kea on tullut hyvin toimeen perheen 5-vuotiaan lapsen kanssa. Kea on Suomessa tullut hyvin toimeen muiden koirien kanssa, mutta voisi hyvin sopeutua myös ainoaksi koiraksi. Tärkeintä olisi löytää Kealle sitoutunut ja kärsivällinen ihminen tai perhe, joka jatkaa nuoren koiran kanssa harjoittelua ja auttaa häntä kasvamaan tasapainoiseksi aikuiseksi.Tausta ja tarinaYmpäri Romaniaa on kunnallisia tarhoja, joihin rankkurit keräävät kodittomia koiria.
