Keksik is a sweet treat wrapped in a tiny body. Looking at it, it’s hard to believe it must find itself in the reality of an animal shelter. This world is too big, too loud, too overwhelming for Keksik. Keksik is delicate, sensitive, fragile… and gets lost in all of it. Walks? For Keksik, it’s not the greatest joy. It only goes out for a brief moment, on short rounds. As if it wants to return as quickly as possible to where it feels at least a little safer. Because its true happiness is a human. A bench, knees, warm hands. Keksik buries itself completely, closes its eyes, and for a moment forgets where it is. In such moments, it’s clear how much it needs closeness. How much it craves it. This little senior who also needs care for his health—taking medication for his heart and liver. He deserves peace, stability, and care that an animal shelter can never give. We are looking for a home full of tenderness for Keksik. A place where no one will ask for anything from him except to be close. Where he can spend his days on his human’s lap, in quiet and a sense of safety. We are looking for a home without small children. It may live with other dogs after an introduction. Keksik will not find itself in the big, noisy world. But with someone who loves him… it will bloom. Will someone give Keksik this peaceful, warm piece of the world?

Keksik to definicja słodyczy zamknięta w maleńkim ciałku. Patrząc na niego trudno uwierzyć, że musi odnaleźć się w schroniskowej rzeczywistości. Ten świat jest dla niego za duży, za głośny, zbyt przytłaczający. Keksik jest delikatny, wrażliwy, kruchy… i zwyczajnie się w tym wszystkim gubi. Spacery? Dla niego to nie jest największa przyjemność. Wychodzi tylko na chwilkę, na króciutkie rundki. Jakby chciał jak najszybciej wrócić tam, gdzie czuje się choć odrobinę bezpieczniej. Bo jego prawdziwe szczęście to człowiek. Ławka, kolana, ciepłe ręce. Keksik wtula się wtedy całym sobą, zamyka oczka i na moment zapomina, gdzie jest. W takich chwilach widać, jak bardzo potrzebuje bliskości. Jak bardzo jej pragnie. To malutki seniorek, który dodatkowo potrzebuje troski także o zdrowie – przyjmuje leki na serce i wątrobę. Tym bardziej zasługuje na spokój, stabilność i opiekę, jakiej schronisko nigdy nie będzie w stanie mu dać. Szukamy dla niego domu pełnego czułości. Takiego, gdzie nikt nie będzie od niego niczego wymagał poza jednym: byciem blisko. Gdzie będzie mógł spędzać dnie na kolanach swojego człowieka, w ciszy i poczuciu bezpieczeństwa. Szukamy domu bez małych dzieci. Może zamieszkać z innymi psami po wcześniejszym zapoznaniu. Keksik nie odnajdzie się w wielkim, hałaśliwym świecie. Ale przy boku kogoś, kto go pokocha… rozkwitnie. Czy ktoś podaruje mu ten spokojny, ciepły kawałek świata?
