Kim

Mixed Breed · Female · Adult · 8 years

26/5/26 Reserved Cute Kim was found in a village in Romania. Another very sad case of a pack of dogs all with horrible injuries which were thought were caused from being beaten. Many had broken bones and fractures but Kim appears to have escaped any visible injuries. It's hard to imagine what suffering these dogs saw and endured. Meantime, Kim is now being fostered in Norwich, Norfolk, in a home provided by Safe Rescue . She is a small to medium-sized Crossbreed aged around 8 years. Kim looks at people with quiet disdain. She’s very handleable once she knows you and can be groomed, bathed and stroked, but she’s not going to give you the satisfaction of showing she’s enjoying it for a while. Kim gets on okay with the other dogs in her foster home but only interacts with the ones that were rescued from that same pack currently. She has passed cat testing and is fine with the resident cat. She can live with or without other dogs in an adult family. Walks are a battle as Kim endures them with a thunderous expression on her sullen face. Each time it's hoped that this will be the one that she shows an interest and enjoys it, but she’s not there yet. She approaches a walk with the same attitude that someone may approach an hour in the gym; it’s good for her but she’s hating every second. Kim will need a patient and experienced adopter who is willing to put up with several weeks or months of dirty looks and belligerent ingratitude. She will need a quiet and calm home environment in an adult home where someone understands that they will have to earn her trust before seeing her true character emerge. Please note – Safe Rescue have a policy that all dogs adopted from them must wear a slip lead on walks. Please only enquire about Safe Rescue dogs if you are happy to always use a slip lead – extendable leads are not acceptable to Safe Rescue. All dogs have to be collected and a crate must be used. Full details of their rehoming policy are on Kim's home page here . _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ If you think you could give cute Kim the loving life she deserves, please contact Safe Rescue below: Tel/Message: or between 9am-5pm Mon-Fri and 9am-4pm Sat Email: Please mention that you saw Kim on Oldies Club website.

About Kim

What life with Kim looks like

Kim is a small adult mixed breed dog waiting at The Oldies Club in United Kingdom.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Kim, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Kim?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. The Oldies Club handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Kim on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Kim if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — The Oldies Club will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Kim already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Kim isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with The Oldies Club early rather than rehoming privately; they know Kim and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
