Information: One number of our team members visited Elisa's animal shelter in Romania in January, May and October 2024 and in January, March, May and June 2025, each time for several days; the animal shelter with which we work intensively. They met among others Kira and her sisters and brother. Elisa found the puppies - who are now young dogs - after they had been dumped and gave them a place in the animal shelter. Kira is a playful, sweet dog. She enjoys attention and being cuddled and scratched. In May 2024 two of our team members met Kira again, now 7 months old and what a beautiful teenager. Kira went for a walk, the first time ever in a harness and on a lead, but she did it very well. Naturally a bit awkward, but that is not surprising if you have spent your whole life in a kennel with occasional lovely running on the play field. In March 2025 we visited again at Elisa's animal shelter and also walked with Kira again: In June 2025 volunteers from the foundation visited again at Elisa's animal shelter and walked with Kira. Kira is a herding type: owner-oriented and sensitive. She walked well, but was a bit uncertain this time. Perhaps the kennel life is now heavy for her. Kira would thrive better in a quiet environment. Despite finding the walking somewhat stressful, she did show curiosity. On the way there she found a white bag of debris interesting, but on the way back she dared to check what it was herself. She loves cuddling once she knows you. Kira is a dog who has much potential with time and patience! The videos give a good impression of Kira; moreover, our team members, who have extensively cuddled her and observed her in various situations at the animal shelter, can tell potential adopters or foster families more about her.

Informatie: Eén aantal van onze teamleden is in januari, mei en oktober 2024 en in januari, maart, mei en juni 2025 telkens enkele dagen op bezoek geweest bij Elisa's asiel in Roemenië; het asiel waarmee we intensief samenwerken. Ze hebben onder andere Kira en haar zusjes en broertje ontmoet. Elisa trof de puppy's - inmiddels zijn het jonge honden -aan nadat ze door iemand gedumpt waren en heeft ze een plekje in het asiel gegeven. Kira is een speelse, lieve hond. Ze geniet van aandacht en van gekroeld en gekriebeld worden. In mei 2024 hebben twee van onze teamleden Kira weer ontmoet, inmiddels 7 maanden oud en wat is het een prachtige puber. Kira is mee geweest voor een wandeling, de eerste keer ooit in een tuigje en aan de lijn, maar ze deed het heel knap. Wat onwennig uiteraard, maar dat is niet zo vreemd als je je hele leven in een kennel hebt doorgebracht met zo nu en dan heerlijk rennen op het speelveld. In maart 2025 zijn we opnieuw op bezoek geweest bij Elisa’s asiel en hebben we ook met Kira opnieuw gewandeld: In juni 2025 is er door vrijwilligers van de stichting weer een bezoek geweest bij Elisa’s asiel en is er met Kira gewandeld. Kira is een herdertype: baasgericht en gevoelig. Ze liep goed mee, maar was deze keer wat onzeker. Wellicht dat het asielleven haar inmiddels zwaar valt. Kira zou beter gedijen in een rustige omgeving. Ondanks dat ze het wandelen wat spannend vond, liet ze wel nieuwsgierigheid zien. Op de heenweg vond ze een witte zak puin spannend, maar op de terugweg durfde ze al zelf te checken wat het was. Ze is gek op knuffelen als ze je eenmaal kent. Kira is een hond die met tijd en rust veel potentie heeft! In mei 2026 heeft er wederom een bezoek aan het asiel van Elisa plaatsgevonden en ook toen is er natuurlijk tijd geweest om met Kira te wandelen en te knuffelen!
