What happens if Koda - VON PRIVAT isn't the right fit?

Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?

TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.

♂, born ca. 2020 - affectionate - social 17291 Prenzlau PRIVATVERMITTLUNG My name is Koda, I am 5 years old and a friendly, affectionate, ca. 40 kg mixed-breed male dog. I know the basic commands and get along well with many fellow animals. Driving is a great thing for me, just like chilling on the couch in the evenings. I am house-trained and can also be left alone for a while, and I love snuggling with my people, whenever and wherever. I am very active and quite strong, loving long and thorough walks, so my future people should not be primarily couch potatoes. Special experiences are not necessary for my care, as although I am large and strong, I am also a friendly and affectionate teddy bear. I am vaccinated and microchipped and already have the blue EU Pass. I am currently living in 1721 Prenzlau. Do you want to give Koda a suitable home? About Koda - VON PRIVAT

What life with Koda - VON PRIVAT looks like

Koda - VON PRIVAT is a adult mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Freund fürs Leben e.V. in Berlin.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.
