Origin Country: Hungary We have a DNA breed determination on hand. The beautiful Kuplung was found homeless wandering around on November 6, 2023, and reported to the animal shelter by attentive passersby. Fortunately, the shelter staff were able to catch Kuplung unharmed and bring them to the shelter. Kuplung was even microchipped, and the owners were informed. They said they had sold Kuplung and informed the new owners. Unfortunately, neither the old owners nor the new ones came to take Kuplung home. No one felt responsible for him anymore, it was simply heartless. Kuplung has completed the quarantine period and is waiting to be discovered by their new human family and go on adventures with them. Kuplung is a loving, friendly, contact-seeking, and agile four-legged friend who can sometimes be a bit stormy due to sheer mischief and is a giant baby. His temperament and willingness to learn must now be guided with love but clarity so that he can develop into an excellent companion. He walks well on a leash but is still trainable. He will quickly learn the rest of the dog ABC if guided lovingly, as he wants to learn and please his human. Kuplung enjoys both mental and physical stimulation, as long as it’s a good time with lots of fun and his people. Unfortunately, Kuplung doesn’t really get along with his fellow animals at the moment and is looking for a home where he can be a prince. Of course, his socialization is being worked on, and we hope it will work better with other dogs soon. Update from February 21, 2024: Kuplung has been trained and has already made great progress in his behavior with other dogs. He is on the right path, but currently, he is alone in his kennel. For our sunny, cheerful Kuplung, we are looking for dog-experienced and adventurous people who love being outdoors. Kuplung would be a great companion for jogging, hiking, cycling, or similar activities. With lots of cuddles, play, fun, clear guidance, and a strong family connection, Kuplung can enjoy his new life fully and worry-free. Who will enter a wonderful human-dog partnership with Kuplung? A mentor writes on March 13, 2024: "We met Kuplung at the mentor day. His mentor gave him an exciting walk. Regular, daily walks and exercise are necessary for him. Active, agile, curious. A young puppy full of energy. That’s why it’s hard for him to wait in the kennel now. He loves people, he’s smart and clever. He wants to learn and experience a lot. He needs behavior-based training and playful activities. Kuplung is waiting for his new, permanent, responsible owner who will adopt him as part of the family. An active family. A garden would be great in the new home. He longs for exciting walks, hikes, or excursions. He should also go to dog training classes. Above all, he wants to be loved, respected, and never left again. Good luck, dear Kuplung." A voluntary Hungarian helper writes on May 24, 2025: "Kuplung was about 1 year old when he came to the animal shelter, now he is already 3 years old. At the mentoring days, we have the opportunity to get to know him. His mentor takes him on walks during this time. He starts the walk with good spirits, ready to go, and happy. As soon as he is out of his kennel, he can move around, run, and sniff as he wishes. He is an active, full-of-energy dog. Happy, enthusiastic, runs after the ball when it is thrown to him. A treat motivates him even more. He walks nicely on a leash. He loves his caregivers and mentors, he is a people-oriented dog and loves children. Curious and smart, he would like to learn new things, and a dog training class would be great for him. He lives alone in his kennel because he cannot be with other dogs without supervision. This topic is being worked on, but it could also be related to the shelter situation. Kuplung needs his final, caring, responsible owner, a family of his own. Where he receives lots of love, attention, and mental stimulation, as well as behavior-based training. Bonding is a real treasure, a good friend, a great companion. Ursprungsland: Ungarn Uns liegt eine DNA-Rassebestimmung vor. Der wunderschöne Kuplung wurde am 6.11.2023 herrenlos umherirrend gefunden und von aufmerksamen Passanten dem Tierheim gemeldet. Zum Glück konnten die Tierheimmitarbeiter Kuplung unversehrt einfangen und ins Menhely bringen. Kuplung war sogar gechipt, die Besitzer wurden informiert, doch sie sagten, sie hätten Kuplung verkauft, und informierten die neuen Besitzer. Leider kam weder von den alten noch von den neuen Besitzern jemand, um Kuplung nach Hause zu holen, niemand fühlte sich mehr für ihn verantwortlich, das ist einfach herzlos. Kuplung hat die Quarantänezeit hinter sich und wartet darauf, von seinen neuen Menschen entdeckt zu werden und mit ihnen auf Entdeckungsreise zu gehen. Kuplung ist ein lieber, freundlicher, kontaktfreudiger und agiler Vierbeiner, der aus lauter Übermut manchmal noch etwas stürmisch sein kann und im Grunde ein Riesenbaby ist. Sein Temperament und sein Lernwille müssen nun liebevoll, aber klar in die richtigen Bahnen gelenkt werden, damit er sich weiter zu einem tollen Begleiter entwickeln kann. An der Leine läuft er schön. Auch den Rest des Hunde-ABC wird er schnell intus haben, wenn man ihn liebevoll anleitet, denn er will lernen und seinen Menschen gefallen. Kuplung freut sich über geistige wie körperliche Beschäftigung, Hauptsache, er hat eine gute Zeit mit viel Spass und seinen Menschen. Leider mag Kuplung seine Artgenossen zurzeit nicht wirklich und sucht ein Zuhause, in dem er Einzelprinz ist. An seiner Sozialisierung wird gearbeitet, und er hat dabei bereits tolle Fortschritte gemacht, er ist auf dem richtigen Weg, lebt aktuell aber noch alleine in seinem Zwinger, da er nicht unbeaufsichtigt mit anderen Hunden zusammen sein kann. Möglicherweise liegt das auch an der Tierheimsituation. Für unseren aufgestellten und fröhlichen Sonnenschein Kuplung suchen wir hundeerfahrene und unternehmungslustige Menschen, die gerne und viel in der Natur unterwegs sind. Kuplung wäre bestimmt auch ein toller Begleiter beim Joggen, Wandern, Fahrradfahren oder bei ähnlichen Unternehmungen. Dazu viele Schmusestunden, Spiel, Spass, eine klare Führung und voller Familienanschluss, dann kann Kuplung sein neues Leben unbeschwert und sorglos in vollen Zügen geniessen. Update vom 24.07.2026: Kuplung lebt inzwischen seit über zweieinhalb Jahren im Tierheim, und trotzdem hat er seine Fröhlichkeit bewahrt. An den Mentortagen startet er voller Freude und Tatendrang in den Spaziergang, endlich raus aus dem Zwinger, laufen und schnuppern, so viel er mag. Er ist neugierig, begeistert und voller Energie, sammelt unterwegs viele Eindrücke und achtet dabei aufmerksam auf seinen Mentor. Seine Pfleger und Mentoren liebt er, auch Kinder mag er sehr. Am liebsten rennt er dem Ball nach, und mit einem Leckerli ist er noch leichter zu motivieren. Er sucht Streicheleinheiten, Zuwendung und Aufgaben, und man merkt ihm an, wie gerne er Neues lernen möchte. Für Kuplung wünschen wir uns eine aktive Familie. Da Kuplung ein Listenmix ist, müssen Sie sich bei Interesse an ihm zuerst in Ihrem Wohnkanton über die Haltungsbedingungen informieren. Kuplung ist reisefertig.
