Kylie

Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Β· Female Β· Adult Β· 4 years

Kylie is a sweet little girl who came to us from a breeder and has now moved to a wonderful foster home, where she is beginning to experience home life for the first time. She has a sweet, gentle nature and is a curious, active little girl who is slowly finding her feet and starting to settle into her new surroundings. Kylie loves having other dogs around her and takes great comfort from their company, so will need another kind and friendly dog of a similar size in her new home who enjoys sharing their bed and having a little playmate around. Having another dog to follow and learn from will be a great help as she continues to build her confidence. Although she is startling to enjoy a gentle fuss, she is still a little unsure and isn't quite ready to ask for attention herself just yet. She enjoys following her fosterer around and is gradually learning that people can be kind. With time, patience and reassurance, we hope to see her confidence continue to grow. Kylie is doing well with her toilet training when given regular opportunities to go out into the garden. She is also a little foodie and is always keen to investigate what might be in everyone else's bowl, so mealtimes may need a little supervision! She has started learning to wear a harness, but isn't quite ready to go for walks just yet and will need to start with gentle practice in the garden when she feels comfortable. As Kylie has never lived in a home before, she will need patient adopters who understand that all these experiences are new to her and who can help her learn at her own pace. She will also need someone around for most of the day while she settles into her new routine, with any time left alone introduced gradually as her confidence grows. Kylie can live with sensible, dog-savvy teenagers aged 16 and over who will give her the space and time she needs to feel safe. Kylie is making a lovely start in foster and has so much potential to blossom into a happy, confident little companion. With a loving family, a reassuring canine friend and plenty of patience, we hope she will continue to discover just how wonderful life can be and find the forever home she deserves. Kylie has a travel document. This dog can be homed with a resident dog.

About Kylie

What life with Kylie looks like

Kylie is an adult cavalier king charles spaniel dog waiting at Many Tears Animal Rescue in Llanelli.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" β€” quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures β€” to let them settle.

πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Kylie, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Kylie?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Many Tears Animal Rescue handles screening and the adoption contract directly β€” TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Kylie on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Kylie if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad β€” Many Tears Animal Rescue will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Kylie already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported β€” ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Kylie isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work β€” that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Many Tears Animal Rescue early rather than rehoming privately; they know Kylie and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect β€” names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
