Late

Poodle · Female · Adult · 4 years

Origin: Linares (Andalusia) Location: Linares (Andalusia) Size/Weight: approx. 32 cm shoulder height at approx. 4 kg Else: neutered, microchipped with EU ID, vaccinated, and tested for Mediterranean diseases Temperament: reserved, shy, active, gets along with other dogs New Home: patience, time, no expectations, fenced yard, no small children, only dog Mediation Fee: 490 Euro incl. transport costs to Germany This poor little mouse is our Late, who was rescued in a desolate condition from a breeder with the help of a "Ticket out of Hell" and has now arrived at our intake station. She was used in the so-called Poodle breeding (which has nothing to do with responsible breeding, as the dogs are simply used to produce puppies). These dogs have no normal dog life; they are kept as "ware" dogs and only receive the necessary affection to be used for the miserable business of dog breeding. Now, Late should leave all of that behind and be on her way to a beautiful new life. Born around November 2022, Late has a shoulder height of approx. 32 cm at the current weight of 4 kg. We wish for Late a family that has no expectations of her, because we simply do not know what she can do in everyday life and what she still has to learn. Often, it is a great help for the dogs if there is already a confident dog in the new home who can show her everything. If you have a few requirements, a lot of time, patience, and a big heart for Late, then contact us, because she could soon be completely vaccinated, microchipped, neutered, dewormed, and tested for Mediterranean diseases and travel to Germany. If picking her up in North Bay is no problem for you, we look forward to your substantive inquiry. About Late

What life with Late looks like

Late is a medium-sized adult poodle dog waiting at Franz von Assisi Hundenothilfe e.V. (Hunde ohne Lobby) in Vilseck.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Late, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Late?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Franz von Assisi Hundenothilfe e.V. (Hunde ohne Lobby) handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Late on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Late if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Franz von Assisi Hundenothilfe e.V. (Hunde ohne Lobby) will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Late already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Late isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Franz von Assisi Hundenothilfe e.V. (Hunde ohne Lobby) early rather than rehoming privately; they know Late and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
